I know you can get the raid-speed-flag(that upgrades all your mounts to raidspeed) by using the mount gotten from the santus seru raid/casino/emperor ssraeshza/deathknell raid/(knight-AA). I seem to remember that there are several modern raids that would flag you for raidspeed too, do i remember wrong? I have done plenty of newer raids during my time, yet I don't seem to have a raidspeed-flag. I was wondering if there were other options?
You need to get the mount from those raids, not simply do the raid. Also I think the ant for completing UF quests is raid speed as well.
I remember being outbid on the flying sokokar from the field of scale raid, I guess just beating the raid isn't enough? The pridewing from TBM-group progression didn't do the trick either. edit: Thanks for the info.

The drum from the casino is probably the easiest to obtain. Gold Tickets are fairly cheap on most servers these days, because you can buy them from loyalty vendors for 960 Crowns. If you are determined to go alternative routes, the easiest would be to attempt to take over the Emp or Seru perma camps, or attempt some other older raids already listed. My personal favorite is the Deathknell mount, Ghostrider's Bridle. You do not have to do any flagging to request the raid, you just need to have six players in your group. The mount drops from the very first event, fairly rarely, but most classes should be able to solo the event now, considering it's all about DPS and it being so dated, means it requires hardly any of that.

You always needed the Arx key for Seru. It ports you into the area he's in there's no other way to get to him as far as I know. As others have mentioned, the easiest one's to get are the Casino one or Ghostrider from DK. For casino you only need 2 gold tickets if you can find someone to loan you the rest of the item's. There's plenty of everything floating around since they added em to Loyalty Vendor. The DK event is easy, worst part about it is the time lock on the phases, but just kill a couple mobs wait for timer kill a couple more and it's over.

Another problem with Essence of Speed is that newer accounts do not get access to Robobear by default so there is nothing to upgrade.
You can acquire a roboboar by completing all of the 10th Anniversary Diety events. That Shiny New Roboboar can indeed be upgraded using the Essence of Speed. Believe the original Collapsible Roboboar was a pre-order item from Depths of Darkhollow expansion, and therefore became no-longer-available a looooooooong time ago.
