They look awesome (at least the old character models do) but I don't want to shrink 3x every time I cross a zone line. They're too damn tall to play on a laptop. I'm going to do a race change. I was going to do Iksar for the small AC bonus but they're kind of tall as well. Gnomes can't be warriors. Moogs is a halfling so I'm kind of used to that. What do you guys think? Wood Elf warrior? (Coost, if you're still out there...cheers, buddy, but you'll always be a Ranger to everybody else.) Go with Dwarf for the epic beard and somersault jump? Human? Do people still play those?
wood elves are awesome. They are both small and medium. They are tall enough to get everywhere, handle steps, see over stuff, ect. They are also short enough to get anywhere small races can without ducking.
Gnomes can be Warriors. An excellent choice both for the fun factor, and as the main ingredient in any pie, stew, or roast.
You could still have layers like an onion and use illusions. That's how I roll. Man, if only more illusions had animations for both weapon swings or other abilities.
There is, which is great for non-warriors such as ogre beastlords and shamans. Warriors (all tanks, actually) now have AAs that make them immune to stun. So the racial innate bonus isn't really any use for ogre warriors above a certain level.
Ability to keep illusions when zoning is one of those new things with EoK, right? Don't have the expansion yet.
My tank mercenary is a gnome. Given how crappy he is as a tank, I would rather everyone know that gnomes flat out cannot be warriors.
Halfling is the warr master race. You get hide (ghetto invis) sneak (talk to npcs you dont have facto for yet) 5% exp bonus that stack with your 10% for beeing warr/rog . Your small already. You get the awesome bellyrub if you use new modles
Been a wood elf female warrior for 13 years. No issues here, and only chose that combo because there are not very many out there and I like to be different.
Uhh, duh... Goblin. Commie Goblin = Inbreed, dumb, ugly, lives in mass stacked storage units with no power. Pure Goblin = Trickster, Int, crazy magic powerful, loner, wanderer and weapon master... but widdle. You can find in the EQ button illusions a Goblin clicky. It's like 400sc but if you are paying you get 500sc a month free! Free as you paying for it monthly but free none the less!
All true, but I have seen you go splat! It's not so bad, when Rep get stomped on it's like a dot sized blood stain on a xxl cotton ball... You wonder if it felt anything. Then of course we all die, well, I prolly died sometime before that, twice... But we were never going to win without a ranger sacrifice.
Iksar are not the master race, in fact I believe they were a slave race. Don't be fooled. http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=30207 Before Green This is known as the Age of the Snake. The snake race known as Shissar, slithered upon Kunark. The Iksar had yet to unite. Our people had yet to learn the Black Arts and the ways of Fist and Tail. Divided, the Iksar were enslaved by the snakes. In the centuries before the Green, the Iksar were slaves of the Shissar They ruled from the ancient city of Chelsith which rested deep within the land now known as The Overthere. From there would sprout much evil. The Iksar were tortured like Frogs and suffered at the hands of the Shissar. The Iksar who showed genius were to help the snakes in their dark rites. These few were the seeds of rebellion. The Iksar began to plot a revolt, but a greater force would strike first. The Shissar were an arrogant race. The power bestowed by the gods was not enough. They made pacts with other gods and demigods. They found the rifts of time and space and used them to gather magic items once held by the guardians of the planes. The Shissar's disloyalty and blasphemous pride would bring the wrath of the gods upon them. No power could stop the force to come. A green cloud formed in the skies above Kunark. The cloud began to descend upon the land. From its green core the face of death began to form. It was of no god they knew. It opened its giant maw and spoke in tongues unknown. From the mouth of death rushed forth a green mist. The Shissar shamans began to cast spells in hopes of shielding their city and the necromancers began to assault the mist with great spells. All were futile. The mist rushed forth. The first snakes to be swallowed by the mist had their scales and flesh rot and fall from their bones. Horrid screams of suffering could be heard from within the mist. A river of flesh and blood flowed. The Iksar stood and gazed upon the gristle that was once the Shissar. With the Green Death came the liberation of the Iksar. The season is now 0 A.G., After Green.
