I see a few threads going back years about running EQ on a mac but there doesn't seem to be an official statement on what can and can't be used even though it appears players are getting banned or doing it.

    Is it legal?
If so are we allowed to use Wine or WineSkin, if not what are we allowed to use?

I really don't want my accounts banned for trying to get more people playing this game.
    Thanks

I've read all over the place that Daybreak will ban your account for running EQ on a VM (as Sony did previously). I have a 2015 MacBook Pro upon which I want to run EQ. However, I am going to use a new account instead of the one I've had since 1999.

Who are you "EQForumAcct"? How can you make that statement that "it's legal." Are you a staff member or employee of Daybreak?

He's just some random. Daybreak staff have user names in red and yes virtual machines are a bad idea if you want to keep your account.
