<House of Strix> - Australian/Oceanic guild on Phinigel

House of Strix general recruitment is currently closed as of 30 Aug 2016. Currently limited recruitment is open only for the following level 60 classes: Wizzies, Mages and Clerics. Players interested in applying are directed to complete an application here.

HoS is an old-school guild that values highly skilled players who are social and team orientated.

We reside on the Phinigel server and are currently raiding all end expansion encounters. We are predominantly an Australian/Korean guild that plays in the GMT +10 and GMT +9 timezone.

Our raid days are times are as follows:
Tuesday & Wednesday (AEST) 8pm start 10:30pm finish
Sunday (AEST) 7pm start, 11pm finish

Some other news Ive been levelling up too raid with Peace of Formosa Ex on Lockjaw but im 47 now and they don't seem too be raiding so im back playing on Phinigel getting Midnight Fire stoked. Talk too you in game. *wave Abhorsan*

Hi Mikken - thanks for your support. Yes, trying to round up players in our play time is challenging and with the launch of Kunark (and epics) it's probably going to be critical to gain a raid force for certain pieces.

We are a small guild who are primarily focused on rounding up players whose main playtime is in the GMT +10 timezone. Our intention is to raid AEST 7pm to 10pm approx (not any later than 11pm). Raid days are not set at this time as we'd prefer a guild discussion and consensus on days for maximum impact. We anticipate this to happen sometime fairly soon.

Was a great Australian guild up until recently when it became Australian/Korean and went downhill dramatically. Guild numbers went from 40 to 90 or so within a week, communication between the two groups has suffered. Hopefully someone realises this and makes a pure Aussie guild.

I have to say that I disagree with the previous posters comments about things going downhill dramatically, that's a jolly big stretch.

Like any guild that has members that speak different languages, there were some teething problems initially when it came to communication (we merged the same night that we attempted our first raid together and the language barrier definitely made things challenging!). 1 week later and some consultation with our new Korean friends, we have managed to make a few simple improvements that have increased communication and our success e.g. on Sunday we took down Phinigel in the blink of an eye, cleared most of Plane of Hate the same night and making fast progress on a number of epics and Classic/Kunark raid targets.

The recent addition of our Korean members, plus the addition of several former players from the recently disbanded Midnight Fire guild, has made us stronger than ever and our future looks bright (I'm sure that our results shall speak for themselves soon enough!). If you're a player in the Aussie timezone on Phinigel looking to join a bunch of cool kids that enjoy raiding and socialising, House of Strix is where you'll want to be.

As predicted, progression being made with Naggy and Vox recently added to the kill list.

The guild is coming together quite nicely with significant progress being made on epics and raid content since a raid schedule was implemented.

As an Aussie player who played through raid content from Classic to Omens, I know how important it is to have players from our local timezones working together, whether it's grouping, small raids, or conquering end game content.
