It's finally here! ( well almost )

Yup, this morning I reinstalled my EQ client.

I got all excited and changed my ping alert on my phone to the EQ level up sound.. I do NOT recommend it. It gives you a panic attack every time it goes off.. I may have mild ptsd.. might start flinching when I level in-game haha.

So excited!! I'm off work at 4:30 and then it's just 1.5 hours to launch! gotta get my lawn mowed and dinner ready in that time

Been listening to old EQ Midis on youtube all day

I don't know how I'm going to work today. I can't concentrate. The server open about a half hour before I get off work. Perfection!

I started listening to my PoP soundtrack this morning but then felt guilty after the EQ intro them was over and the Plane's theme music played because we are not on that expansion yet. So I just set the EQ theme to loop

I have EQ installed on my work laptop and will jump on at launch just to create my toons and reserve names. Now, what toons and names...ARGH!

You should make your alarm clock set as the skeleton laugh, the sound of spells casting, or the sound that a character makes when it gets hit.

Lol.. just that loud CRUNCH with a cackle.. maybe a dragon roar.. then a fireball cast.. that'd wake me up in a panic.. every day.. wait this is another bad idea.

I would contemplate the sound of a Gnoll from Blackburrow as an alarm but id wake up beating the dog prolly...so...yeah.

Random question time! Can I keep the launcher on the server select page to see when the server is up or does it require a refresh to show the new server status?

Accounts paid for and all set to go. Does anyone know if they have increased the login cap beyond 2,000 yet? I know Fippy had a huge queue because more than 2,000 people were logged in. Now that they utilize instancing tech for lower level zones, I wonder if they've increased that cap or if we're looking at the largest login queues in history of Everquest.

I'm afraid if things stayed the same, people will be raging by 3:05pm.

i feel like the biggest loser in the universe for saying this, but i did have a little bit of trouble sleeping last night. i was whackin' the ehle harder than little john and the east side boyz and i still couldn't get to sleep until like 130am.

i am that excited.

The excitement is building!

Seems to be so much hype. While it is certainly exciting, I'm a little skeptical of how things will play out in terms of login times/queues, server stability, overcrowding(even with instancing), etc.

SO excited about this. Played EQ for the better part of a decade on Firiona Vie, and have missed it a lot. Tried to go back several years ago, but it was depressing to see places like Qeynos totally deserted. Looking forward to there being life again in all the old places. Wish they would do an RP-TLP server!
