just a few questions for those that can help.

What are the most popular UI mods people are using right now, and is there a way to revert the current item tooltips to the old school ones? The new ones are just so large and annoying to look at, they also don't display the various stat lvls for current and recommended lvls.

Is dual boxing still as simple as opening up a separate client?

Are there any guides out there for new/returning players to follow to get used to this new tutorial area and such?

Is there any type of up and coming population on the Zek server? I played on Tallon Zek way back in the day(1999-2002/3ish) Or is it all high end stuff only.

Is there any plans on doing a PvP progression server? Or any progression server any time soon?

Thanks for any replies I'm at work so sorry if I don't get back to this for a little bit.

There are many popular UI sets and mods. See http://www.eqinterface.com/ and I think they have a list of popular sets. This page is probably the most well known UI authors: http://www.eqinterface.com/downloads/index.php?cid=43&dp=0&sh=full&so=desc&sb=lastupdate

And similarly I use Drakah's Old Interface at http://www.eqinterface.com/downloads/fileinfo.php?id=4615 -- It won't be like the Original, but at least the spell icons are mostly the same as the original.

Item window is pretty much unmodifiable, so we're stuck with it, until they allow us to change it, or change it themselves. Still lots of sites display items in the old way. See http://lucy.allakhazam.com/ as an example.

Don't even need separate clients, just seperate client log ins on the Patcher. Top-right of the patcher window is your current account that's logged in or another message like Accounts. Click on it and drop down menu of other known accounts you've logged in with and saved or other options to log in or create new accounts is listed. So, it's just log in to one, and launch game. Then switch to or log in to another account and Play.

Seperate directories and instances may be useful, if you want each account completely customized.

The tutorial is pretty thorough and complete, if you read all the pop-up boxes and chat dialog. It's very informative and covers much of the basic game and results in excellent equipment. There are more tutorials and quests from Secalna Galnor [ Tutorials ] in Plane of Knowledge after leaving the tutorial, which also result in some nice items and features, such as access to the new player guild to get the features of a guild and guild hall.

Lots of the threads here provide some good starter info. The post at https://forums.station.sony.com/eq/index.php?posts/3072242/ covers alot of stuff and links to others guides, such as Borek's The Newbie Zone FAQ.

No pop on Zek and no plans for a PvP progression server that I know of officially. There are some vocal PvP advocates asking for one however. June or July the new Time Locked Progression server should be out, and they're still working on the details. See threads in the Progression Forum at https://forums.station.sony.com/eq/index.php?forums/time-locked-progression-servers.21/ related to the new one, and the News and Announcements forum at https://forums.station.sony.com/eq/index.php?forums/news-and-announcements.2/ has several threads on the new progression server. There are probably other places to look too.

The new progressions ever should be out later this summer, detail still being discussed - see Yther's links for details.
