Top tier zerking - your parses

    We've got anywhere from 5 to 10 rangers in our raid on a given night and this event went fully trivial when it became headshottable (we seldom have rogues in the raid, else they'd be up there with yours, I'm sure). I know decap doesn't do the damage of headshot typically, but with it affecting all mob types I assumed balanced that out.

    I never will figure out how our lone berserker doesn't do better on this event (as I've guested with another guild on DH2 and they had zerkers and rogues filling out the top 5 spots of the parse), however, even my near-complete ignorance of the class after having reading this thread it's a little more understandable.

    We're a mid-tier guild with different class make up than yours it looks, but similar overall raid DPS on this event. Here's where we're at one two of our more recent attempts at ewk2. (Our most recent was considerably better DPS.. but alas is on another machine.)

    I don't like bringing back old threads, but... How do you get 21 burning prisons on your parse? I'm using rains for the whole event, and I end up with 2-3 on average. And our parses are a similar timeframe. For reference these are our most recent Combined for this event that I was on for:

    This one had the most I've every seen, at 5 burning prisons:

    For reference, the top Berserker on the second parse died at least once during the event. Our ADPS is all over the place, which accounts for some of the variability. I'm told the highest Berserker sustained on this event that we've seen is around 71K (and that Berserker still died once), but I wasn't there and did not see the actual parse, so take that as you may.

    The only thing sadder for their raid leader would be a raid with 5-10 sks. And only just!

    That event will come down to luck during burn. The mobs are assassinateable, headshottable and decapitationable (is that even a word?) so if you get luck you can hit 400k dps on a Roth burn (I've done it before). Other times it'll look much MUCH weaker. Just blind luck.

    Unfortunately it's the lucky parses that get quoted and people assume that's the mean value, not the flukey spikes.

    who cares the class is dead at this point. our requests are either completely ignored or twisted/crippled to the point of being useless when the Devs do "give in" (see our HHE proc which has a horrible proc rate and meaningless level of HHE).

    Im going to guess that the parse combines all the burning prisons together especially when using a rain spell. Their parse looks like they are divided out a bit where it shows each prison idividually.

    So it looks like, based on the times and damage, some of those got combined. 21 still seems like a lot though.

    Monks need a lot of help but I'm not going to hijack a berserker thread to complain about it. From what I've seen in TDS, berserkers and all other melee lost a lot of ground that they had been gaining in CotF. Wizards and necros are completely broken and nothing seems to be in the works to compensate for their dominance.

    We heavily employ a "everyone off the boss, kill the adds/prisons/crystals" strategy. To get around doing this I stand pretty close to the raid mob so as to catch the melee's dps, and just turn or shift to where I've got multiple prisons in my beam and spam it when prisons are up. Guessing this catches a little bit more prisons?


    I'm not sure what they can even do short of nerfing the caster classes, or adding more Chaotic Rune/Meandering Drain Aura's to make it to where casters can't just faceroll from a relatively safe distance/position and do max DPS in 80% of raids, but even just an effort would make a lot of players a lot happier I know. :( Our melee in general aren't happy with their spot on the dps boards and we're a raid away from even getting into Arx :\

    Guard Vraymon is the first mob on the parse so got the name in that example. The time and overall damage suggests it's actually a combined of the entire event.

    dont forget Mages. you know lvl 100 Enkel could come back and still beat out every melee on the combined for Arx.

    Level 100 Enkel could come back and beat out every 105 magician as well
