I've skimmed the patch notes and don't see anything that would indicate a change to mage beam spells, and yet there are multiple (and differing) reports that are saying that mage beams have been nerfed to have a max limit for mobs hit. Is this just a big troll-fest? or did I miss something that indicates a change? Can any mages comment?
sorry it will happen. all you have to say is beam and they lock it. However, i do not have reason to believe it was changes. As moklianne said there would be outrage both good and bad if it was.
Fair - you both have a point, however the question is about beam spells, not about what some people use them for.
There are also reports of "a nice set or rare items you'll hardly believe". http://spells.eqresource.com/spells.php?id=35933 There has been no change to the mage beams at all.
Beaming now hurts the caster and randomly resets mobs you cast it on. It also causes a serverwide emote shaming the magician who just casted it. Their account is double charged every time too. Thanks for the nerf, Sony!
Beams still work perfectly. I just left PoS a pile of ashes. Some people were complaining about the lag in ooc and that they were working on a quest etc etc, I just LOL'd at them and made my AA and money from PL'ing then left.
