Reptile and DI conflict

I heard that the reptile recourse could prevent DI from firing if it was triggered by the same hit as the one that would trigger DI.

Is that true or was it fixed as some time? If its true, I dont see why using reptile in raid would be worthwhile, or am I missing something?

You're a druid, test it out and report back.

DI is nearly 100% fire rate these days, DI person X, Reptile them, have them tank a bit and see what happens on a deathblow.

Reading the spell data there is no reason it should function like you described... but I'd imagine this only takes 5min to test.

afk to Di a tank and watch him die ......

That's absolutely not true. so don't worry. For starters, defensive procs do not function the same way as offensive procs, and you can definitely have more than one proc at a time- otherwise, a cleric would do no damage to unstunnable mobs with their self ward if they also had Shining Bastion on (which doesn't happen), knights would be clicking off all other defensive buffs when using two of their defensive discs, because they have procs... what a mess!

Secondly though, the conditions under which Reptile and DI fire are completely different; they just happen to occur at the same time sometimes. Reptile is a defensive proc, a chance check based on something taking a swing at the recipient, with a 400% mod, to make it proc more often:

Divine Intervention line is basically a doom trigger, that checks when the recipient's hit points drop below a specific threshold, for whatever reason.

Feel free to use your Reptile- you're not going to kill anyone by doing it, and you're not going to prevent DI firing. With today's charisma stats, and Unfailing Divinity, it almost always does anyway.
