Is the anniversary raid temporary or permanent? It seems raidloot hasn't been updated for those of us who need to plan out upgrades. What should we know about the drops?
Is there anything meaningful for casters? Was great opportunity for 2 hand weapons with updated clicks. Shame if it’s just another ore item.
Nah, just a slightly higher stat version of the ToL staff, both of which are DPS downgrades from the CoV staff.
They should increase the proc rate on the TOL staff, maybe as much as double it. Maybe then casters will want the TOL 2hb...
How do you see the proc-rate of a weapon? Maybe they lowered the proc-rate to help with raid-lag. Is it only caster weapons that have a lower proc-rate than previously, or all weapons?
That is fine if they lowered the proc rate. The problem is that, as Sancus mentioned, it provides lower DPS than the COV weapon. So as long as that stays true, casters won't be going after it.
So disappointing that the caster staves were not added with updated versions of the clicks. What a wasted opportunity.
We got the following loot: Cobalt-Reinforced Greaves Wilderness Lord's Trousers Sathir Staff of Conflict Collar of Drolvarg Loyalty Sathir Dagger of Sacrifice Necklace of the United Tribes Drusella's Wedding Ring Leggings of Wrathfulness
adding to this list: Eldest Spiritist's Greaves Sathir Staff of Leadership Pulsating Green Stone Amulet Sathirs Ring of Eternal Life Mrylokar's Insidious Greaves
Three dropped for us last night. I grabbed one in the hope that the procs are improved to make it viable in raids. As a solo/group weapon while not grouped with a Druid or ranger, the procs are nearly the same damage as the COV 2hb. Maybe increasing the base damage by 1000 more for both melee and caster proc would push it ahead of COV 2hb, but I don't think that is enough to offset the raid DPS discrepancy
Our second run, we got (that wasn't in our original list): Kly Skinned Pantaloons Sathir Staff of Leadership Venril's Wedding Ring
Are there any tricks for dealing with skelly adds? As "normal" we were about 9 people short of full raid and don't seem to have enough sustained DPS to keep up once our burns start to fade. Is it just a DPS has to be XXX or go home and play my pretty pony ?
Some of the skeletons can be charmed, but not all. Have your tanks Glyph when tanking them as well. Both of these can help a bit but in the end a fair bit of DPS is needed
To a certain extent it's just a DPS check. Remember you're gonna have the 2 mini's and 4 golems going live at the end of the skeleton phase, so if you aren't burning hard enough to limit the number of skeletons up you're in for a bad time. Obviously the stronger your tank/heals the more things you can tank at once, but it'll be rough down 9 people unless the other 45 are really bringing the heat.
Without giving away too much information the event has many similarities to Drusilla's Vault in RoS. You can minimize adds with some well timed burns.
