This should be a wonderful influx of cash for DBG.

I play MTG Arena almost every day. How is this going to be different?

It was a decently popular game while it was around but not sure it is fair to compare a digital only card game to one that is based off a physical card game.

Except it wasn’t popular at all.

We will have to disagree with that.

If it was popular, it wouldn’t have been removed.

Just because it was shut down doesn't mean it wasn't popular at one time. If I remember right they had stopped development for it at one point in time and eventually shut it down due to costs of keeping it updated.

But again as I said the game stuck around for a while and was decently popular at one point in time. The popularity may have declined but that does not change what I said.

Funny how the press release fails to mention that Daybreak HAD its own MTG knock-off, and eventually ran it into the ground.

You mean they couldnt compete with the original?
Thats not a totally unexpected outcome.

Prob didn't help that they tried to make a significantly more complicated game, where the simplified version (Hearthstone) was extremely popular instead and still getting expansions and stuff

Not to mention all the stability issues it caused as a game within a game until it got its own client.
