Hey all you cool Shir and Kerrans! Curiosity is killin' this cat, so I'm going to start a weekly EQ-related question for you all. Who is your favorite Norrathian/Discordian diety, and why? What are your thoughts?
the Triumvirate of Water, aka Tarew Marr, E'ci and Povar. Why? Povar was my first server, and these deities haven't been killed a thousand times yet.
Bristlebane, The King of Thieves I play a bard, and bards have traditionally been an offshoot of thieves, from the dnd days.
Luclin, Lady of the Shadows. Native goddes of Vah Shirs and ... she despised Alaran's since before times of humans.
Mithaniel Marr the Truthbringer.... because... The truth is out there! The truth hurts! But the truth will set you free! So say the Freeport Knights of Truth!
My thought is that I'm not 100% sure which my favourite is because there's still a few I haven't killed yet Gods whose realms have not yet been accessed/explored or represented yet thus far in EQ: Erolissi Marr: The Queen of Love - God of Love Prexus: The Oceanlord - God of Oceans and Seas Rodcet Nife: The Prime Healer - God of Health (The Plane of Health may be its usual home but its Avatar was not found here) Torvonnilous: Lord of Greed - Demi-God of Greed Tholuxe Paells: Demi-God of Lust (Demi-plane of Debauchery) Vazaelle Kaleine: Demi-God of Madness (Demiplane of Madness)
Torvonnilous: Lord of Greed - Demi-God of Greed was my original server for playing EQ.. and well, as Svann pointed out.. bards and rogues can be greedy... (I'm not really) I think he never got the backstory, or life he should have.
Zebuxoruk is easily the most interesting deity in Everquest for me. He was the central figure in Everquest's best expansion (opinion, obviously), Planes of Power. He knows the future. He knows what will happen to Norrath. He is cursed, or punished, because he wants to share this knowledge with Norrath's mortals. He is the key to our continued existence.
Perhaps rolling on Povar was fate. May the peace of Quellious always be with you. Bards and tricksters go hand in hand, as well. True, true. However, we're always open to the spirits of nature and our ancestors. Although worshipping the Norrathian pantheon? Bleh! Everyone makes their own path, amirite? Xean ishta, sivuela xi Xauinae. Mithaniel is a great choice. So many to still meet. I totally can understand holding off on a favorite until you've met them all. I dunno... he doesn't appreciate being worshipped. Poor guy. The story of Norrath is far from complete. Perhaps we'll hear more about him in the future. Or are UFOs actually sightings of Rodcet Nife? I love this art. <3 The price of simply knowing too much... Thanks for the insights so far, everyone! I love this.
Brell Serilis. "Brell Serilis was the first to come to Norrath during The Age of Scale, and from his Plane of Underfoot, a dark realm of vast caves and endless tunnels, he quietly created a magical portal to a cavern deep in the belly of Norrath." We who follow Brell are the foundation race of Norrath and though we have been patient, lo these many years, our wrath is kindled and our revenge will be sure. Tread carefully and guard your ankles. Donations of pizza are accepted and may cause us to spare your worthless, overly tall, lives. Muahahahahahahahahaha For those who wish to know more and perhaps gain a deeper appreciation of our mighty ways you can access a portion of our sacred history at: https://everquest.fandom.com/wiki/Brell_Serilis
I'd have to say Karana. My original character was a Druid, and throwing around lightning and storms sounds like way more fun than Quellious.
Bertoxxulous: The Plaguebringer Who doesn’t like a good plague causing people to panic sell so I can capitalize on the stock market like 2020 March again ?? Or innoruuk ?? I don’t know I just want destruction and why is it I can’t attack any npc in new city area nowadays? So lame
Perhaps Sahteb Mahini: The Feral Spirit - Cat-spirit of the Hunt - Fury of Feline Lycanthropy would be more your thing, WereVah Shir / WereKerran I don't think I've seen in EQ yet though.
