No one says I play on "Eq 20th mangler" server. When I am looking for mangler, I don't scroll down to "E", I scroll to the "M"'s don't see it and then remember it's has that stupid prefix on it. My request is the server loose the "EQ 20th" prefix, either completely or move it after Mangler. "Mangler EQ 20th is fine, or just plain "Mangler" Also could this be adopted going forward for any future servers as well.
While I agree that the naming could have been better (could have called it Mangler (EQ 20th Anniversary) or something), I don't begrudge them for a little for bragging about the anniversary. A video game still going after 20 years (especially one with code as old as EQ's) that has NEW content being released every year...that's sort of a big deal. I think I'd make sure everyone knew about it as well.
I don't see anyone dying on any hill. It was a suggestion. He didn't say he was quitting over it. Ease up.
What they should do is split out any descriptive info / rule sets into a separate column. They could also add a column for what era the server is on too for that matter.
Seems like a quick fix and it's intuitive. It's got a good beat and I can dance to it. Let's make it happen.
Here's a mockup of what it could look like: In a perfect world the window itself would be larger so as to not need to abbreviate things.
Good suggestion OP & very nicely illustrated by Beimeith. Only problem now is I am looking for the "Whatever Collector's Edition".
I like this, though I would like to see Status listed second personally, since that is the info I am looking for the majority of the time I check server status.
