I have been gone a number of years. I am working on a return and my Necro is currently L-107. I am a solo player atm. I have been doing a lot of reading online and it appears that the general consensus is that the Swift Dot Line in not being used by soloing Necros any more. I would greatly appreciate your thoughts on this. Should I or should I not be using Swift dots in 2021?
2 changes have happened. First, the DoT AA line that used to extend duration of DoTs with minimum of 24 seconds has been changed. It is now called Enhanced Decay and adds the damage that an extra tick would give to the base damage of the Dot, spread across the base duration. This AA line does not get applied to Swift DoTs, but it is very powerful for your normal DoTs. Second, swift DoTs had their base damage reduced to be on par with 1 of your normal DoTs of the same resist type. But again, because of Enhanced Decay, swift DoTs do less damage than your normal DoTs.
