    The problem suggested by the OP and explained in the linked thread is that a single party member should not be hitting a single player that many (or even multiple) times at once with the damage effect, causing insta-death in a scenario where the damage is not even being amplified.

    The damage listed by the OP and in the linked thread is just the base amount of the effect adjusted for spell shielding. In the scenario where you are positioned too closely to the members of the party with the respective debuff from the usher, which is not the case here, the damage would be much more severe and, yes, is intended to result in insta-death.

    Well, you have heal spells being repeated multiple times, so it looks more like a reporting error.

    I have not seen the AE do multiple casts. People do die, but that is because they have the amplification debuff on and are standing on the wrong side.

    This happens to raid forces that don't hail the usher as well as those that do. Amplification debuff only increases the damage, doesn't make 1 bridesmaid/groomsman cast it multiple times in the same second. This will sometimes occur in the first 30 seconds of the event during big burns. My thought is it has to do with lag/server/client sync, like so many other issues.

    Those heals that are multiplied in that timeframe, are also caused by the AE damage (priest self buff procs when priest is hit by AE damage over a certain amount and heals their group).
