Each TLP they need to create quantity-limited items. $50 - Your character is allowed to log in on the TLP server during the first wave (12pm-1pm PST) Limited to first 100 purchases. $40 - Your character is allowed to log in on the TLP server during the second wave (1pm-2pm). Limited to 200 purchases $30- You character is allowed to log in on the TLP server during the third wave (2pm-3pm). Limited to 300 purchases $20 - Your character is allowed to log in on the TLP server during the fourth wave (3pm-4pm). Limited to 400 purchases $10 - Your character is allowed to log in on the TLP server during the fifth wave (4pm and later). Limited to 500 purchases. $0 - Your character is allowed to log in the day after the official launch of the server. Unlimited Net result: Staggered entry to ease up on the servers during TLP openings, plus $35,000 to upgrade their servers. 1500 people get to join the new server one day before the rest do.
That would definitely be one of the biggest complaints. Apparently you get magical experience in the first 24 hours that you can never earn as fast again.
If the servers still crash, then I have no idea what the next best solution is. All I know is that their current rollouts fail every year on every new server.
Whatever the issue is, it's bigger than the server hardware for Rizlona and Aradune, since every server from every game Daybreak owns crashed. Dunno if it's even related to the TLP launch, although it would be a big coincidence...
Maybe one step further. Open up servers at midnight two weeks before actual launch date. Only allow characters to be created, but not allow anyone to join game. Then on launch day, open the zones to play in at midnight.
