Just started a few weeks ago and have seen OW raids and DZ raids. In OW the raid targets seem to have spawn times of several days. If an OW mob has been taken down can a raid just do a DZ without waiting for the respawn? Maybe I have this all wrong but if this is the case why not just do DZ raids? Thanks for a insight

OW = open world. Typically open world raid mobs respawn in around 15-36 hours after they are killed, with a good bit of variance.

DZ = dynamic zone. Your group or raid requests an instanced version of the zone with raid targets up. You can trigger these on demand, but the catch is all raid mobs have a lockout timer associated with them, and there is also a lockout timer for the instanced zone itself. Exact timers vary a bit, but typically with Agent of Change instances you can expect a 6.5 day lockout (currently 3.25 days with this week's lockout reduction bonus) for any raid mobs

Basically this means you can only kill each raid target in an instance once per week, whereas in open world you can get them every day or two. In DZ you have no competition, in open world you very well might. The open world mob being up or not has absolutely no relationship with being able to kill the mob in a DZ.

It depends on the level of the raid target. If it is a mini, then 12-36 hours is normal. If it is a zone boss or big raid targets, then 4-5 days is normal. On TLP servers these times might be different depending upon which one you are playing on.

Agents of Change only exist on TLP servers.

Nah. This was true many years ago. On standard non-TLP servers nothing has longer than a 3.5 day respawn timer anymore. There's a Prathun post floating around somewhere confirming that. On TLP's I've never seen a boss take longer than 48 hours.
