The ShackNews article EQ tweeted was cool but I think this video related on Prathun's career was more interesting, I'm a little surprised the EQ twitter account didn't share this too! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JZVTki6xv2E I never realized Prathun came from the tech support side of things or the way they had to setup all of LDoN's variations.
EverQuest articles Shacknews published yesterday: Better Together: Stories of EverQuest https://www.shacknews.com/article/110494/better-together-stories-of-everquest EverQuest was almost a Microsoft game https://www.shacknews.com/article/114176/everquest-was-almost-a-microsoft-game EverQuest focused on co-op play to counter Ultima Online's rampant PVP https://www.shacknews.com/article/1...op-play-to-counter-ultima-onlines-rampant-pvp The first one is rather lengthy. It contains 16 chapters. The second two are short.
Thank you for sharing! I love how the Devs actually label or call the text that pops up “flavor” on the map he shared awhile back.
Yeah in the early days of Ultima it was all non optional pvp which was mostly some guy out chopping down trees for wood getting bushwhacked by 3 or 4 players. UO was insistent everyone wanted pvp then at some point they made two side of each server a pvp one and non pvp and 90% of the population moved to the non pvp side.
Prathun's a cool dude, even though some of his raid designs make me want to club to death cute baby seals.
try them without the use of your is_boxer , who is a huge advantage when all toons attack all at same time, and cast all at same time .
