I have a level 110 mage that doesn't raid. I bag a two-handed weapon for those times when I want to squeak out every last bit of DPS. It's a group-level weapon, so it has type 4 and type 7 aug slots. For the slot 4 aug, I'm debating between a sympathetic proc (like Bone Shards of Frozen Marrow with Sympathetic Burst of Ice X) or a melee proc (like Miniature Pick of Destruction with Strike of Flames X). For the slot 7, I don't think I can obtain any DPS augs -- TBL stuff is out of reach for me. Any advice on which augs I should use here?
For the slot 4 aug, definitely use a sympathetic proc. It'll proc more frequently than a melee proc, even if you were able to melee 100% of the time. For the slot 7 aug, you're probably just going to go for a good stat aug (unless there's a super secret proc type 7 I'm unaware of). Relife Adornment is the best option, another is Hero's Calling.
If you are looking for proc augs for a two-hander which are not TBL augs you best bet is Bone Shards of Frozen Marrow and Ancient Diamond Spellcharm, Both fit in slots 4,7, and 8 but you will need access to Combine Dredge. If you can do the TBL Challenger then Elemental Curio of Ondine Force would be your best 2h option.
Those augs are just 4 and 8. You cannot use both in a group 2h. You are correct that the TBL augs WITH TBL Challenger will fit in slot 7.
Bah I linked the 1h'er, what I run in epic, instead of the 2h'er. Diamond and Bone shards are slot 8 so won't work in group 2h'er outside of the 4 slot.
