    - - All text now uses the Event Messages color and filter

    - Talendor should leave a corpse when he dies.

    *** Spells ***

    - Made a number of improvements to the way spells are processed in an effort to reduce zone lag.
    - All - Made data changes to all rain spells and updated their descriptions to be more accurate. The spells should behave the same way they did before but the spell data will look different.

    - Shadowknight - The Challenge for Power line of spells now has a base cast time of .5 seconds and a base recast time of 3.5 seconds.
    - Paladin and Shadowknight - The Withstand line of combat abilities will now absorb spell damage in addition to melee damage at an increased cost in endurance.

    *** AA ***

    - All - Enhanced Reformation now increases your current endurance regeneration in addition to the maximum amount of endurance regeneration available from items.
    - Multiple - Ingenuity and Empowered Ingenuity now affect damage-over-time spells in addition to direct damage spells.
    - Multiple - Added ranks 6-10 of Innate Enlightenment for intelligence casters.
    - Multiple - Passive abilities that add damage to each melee hit have been changed to scale the per-hit damage based on weapon delay. This impacts Berserker's Juggernaut's Weapon Mastery and Juggernaut's Mastery of Throwing, Monk's Disciple of the Tonfa and Disciple of the Katori, Paladin's Valiant Blade, Ranger's Close Combat Mastery and Bow Mastery, Rogue's Weighted Strikes, Shadowknight's Bloodthirsty Blade, and Warrior's Merciless Grip.
    - Cleric - Consolidated Unfailing Divinity, Reaching Divine Intervention, and Hastened Divine Intervention into a single line, Improved Divine Intervention.
    - Cleric - Consolidated Enhanced Forgetfulness and Hastened Atonement into a single line, Improved Atonement.
    - Druid - Quickened Blessing of Ro has been replaced with a new ability line, Wildtender's Survival, which will trigger the highest rank spell you have scribed from the Survival of the Fittest line.

    - Druid - Removed the mana and cast time restrictions from Wrath of the Forest Walker.
    - Necromancer - Consolidated Willful Death to be ranks of Death Peace.

    - Ranger - Fixed the descriptions on all ranks of Scout's Mastery of the Elements.
    - Shadowknight - Consolidated Willful Death to be ranks of Death Peace.
    - Shadowknight - Removed the 5 hit limit from Cascading Theft of Defense.
    - Shadowknight - Changed Presence of Fear into a toggled-passive ability, replaced the mesmerization and fear components with an intimidation effect, and reduced the proc chance.

    - Shaman - Ranks 3 and 4 of Lupine Spirit can now be activated on your group without a target.
    - Shaman - Fixed a bug where ranks 8-12 of Spirit Guardian were healing less than was intended and rank 7 had a lower reuse time than intended.

    *** Miscellaneous ***

    - The slash command /targetgroupbuff and its alias /tgb have been removed and its behavior is now implicitly enabled.
    - Fixed a bug with auto-hide afk that could cause some models to display as a default human instead of rendering them invisible.

    - Planes of Power Progression - Fixed a bug with Grand Librarian Maelin's "lore" dialogue.

As a heads up for everyone, the reason we're pushing the initial part of the test patch early this month is to get some extra time and attention on some significant changes to how spells are cast. The changes are primarily intended to improve zone performance as well as fix a few minor inconsistencies.

Please be on the lookout for any anomalous behavior when using spells and abilities. Ideally there won't be any noticeable differences from live other than, hopefully, less lag when the zone is under extreme processing load (as is often seen during raid events.)

    Thanks!
  3. Yinla Ye Ol' Dragon

    - All - Enhanced Reformation now increases your current endurance regeneration in addition to the maximum amount of endurance regeneration available from items.

Is there any reason why pure casters and priests get this AA? We don't use endurance at all, or are you planning on adding something to us which will use endurance instead of mana?

Also while your playing around with AAs can you extent the range on Wizzys forces of Ice, Fire and Will to match the range of our spells, especailly as it wasn't so long ago you added a mana cost to these.

    - Made a number of improvements to the way spells are processed in an effort to reduce zone lag.

Will this improve the horrid chat lag we have had again lately on AB?

Paladin - The Challenge for Honor line of spells now has a base cast time of .5 seconds and a base recast time of 3.5 seconds.

So .1 faster cast but we get an extra 1.5 ish seconds added to the recast.

If your going to increase the recast time can you make the Undead slow land better? Often takes multiple casts or another debuff before it lands.
    Maedhros and Wulfhere like this.

Could you please make sure that we're able to filter out Others' actions? Recent changes have make it so you can see some spells / dots / alliances cast from others, with no way to filter it out.

Ideally this will address the raid lag, which I was only able to remedy by either turning off logs (not ideal), or turning off Others actions from the source (not just moving to a closed window).

This seems like a bit of an information-light bullet point. I am worried by the word "impacts". Will this result in a reduction of dps?
  10. Aurmoon Augur

Very happy with a number of these changes.

Shaman / Mage Malaise change is great!
Withstand line blocking spell damage is super exciting (as long as the additional endurance increase isn’t huge as we use this ability on cooldown). Can anyone comment on if this absorbs DoT damage or only direct damage?
Cascading Theft change is nice, although I don’t think it will have too big an impact on anything except easy encounters or large pulls.
Hopefully the incremental AA melee damage bonus to high delay weapons will prove meaningful.
  11. Allayna Augur

Any word on why tendon slice is now uber resistant? Working as intended?

    - Paladin and Shadowknight - The Withstand line of combat abilities will now absorb spell damage in addition to melee damage at an increased cost in endurance.

Does this mean that small amounts of spell damage may eat up the counters? Particularly things like damage shields?

If so can we just have the counters removed all together?
  13. segap Augur

My guess is it will be an increase in dps for classes with slow weapons like Berserkers as they'll get more of a bonus. While classes like Rogues with low delay weapons will potentially get less of a bonus and lose dps. Which in the grand scheme of things, is the opposite of what should be happening.
  14. mmats Augur

Exactly. This will only exacerbate issues with melee dps.
  15. Wulfhere Augur

Yes spell hits will use up counters.
No, damage shields aren't absorbed since the Skull of Null nerf.
  16. Daedly Augur

Since the classes dont all share the same AA, I don't know why your scenario would be the case.
  17. Denial_Sinfae Augur

All of those filters were added in game. They're under Spell.
  18. Wulfhere Augur

What about Innate Songblade for Bards?
  19. Brohg Augur

My impression is that the intention is for weapons within the set usable by any given class, these abilities won't add favorability to the fast ones. So less extra rewards for rogues using the 19dly offhand for rog vs 21s or 24s, and less extra rewards for ber using 30 vs 36dly options. The AAs will be delay-agnostic.
    Daedly likes this.
  20. Brohg Augur

That's a multiplier, not a damage bonus. The abilities listed are those that add specific damage to each hit.
