you kidding me on all they need is enc bot and they can afk away

You want to grab an item from raids that could possibly upgrade a guildmate and benefit your raid for someone outside guild? assuming every guild but us uses DKP system, and well assuming most mains in other guilds are not RoS completed gear wise.

If you did not know case loots have been dropping as soon wide rares for the last few exp , they equal about 5 percent of all raid items , I want to see this go on ,and taking a few raid items and taking the no drop tag off is more easy them making all new case loot for ROS , and as a raider I also know in time most raid items will rot! Benefiting no one at all ... not the raiders or those that can't raid ! Again I ask you to read the OP ..

I love raiding on Xegony , I see raid items rot often here and this could help none raids with a few items being no drop ...

The thread has been answered. You should migrate to Brekt or Firiona Vie. The mechanics that you are looking for already exist.
  7. Yimin Augur

It has not been answered ...FV ,Brekt are not the same as zone wide rare drops ...

thats good enough. leave alone as it is is what my vote is.

You're comparing not very common expansion wide chase loot to our chest loot.. These are two different things, either you want our chest loot to be tradeable or you want expansion wide chase loot to comeback. both seem like a bad idea either way.

While I understand you are passionate about no-one deserves raid gear but you... 'giving away' is a bit of a stretch. They are so rare that there is no 'giving away,' and it's certainly a rather large amount of effort or massive good luck. In the same amount of time you have a much better chance of getting what you want by raiding than by the ultra-rare drops in RoS. Not only is it rare to even roll, the table is so huge that a specific item is difficult to acquire.
I won't promise that there will never be "current raid level" ultra-rares ever again. BUT they are not in the plans at this time.

Your thread title is about raid items, not chase loot.
  12. Sheex Goodnight, Springton. There will be no encores.

I’ve missed you broheim. I almost posted a Duck Takes meme just for you, but didn’t want to put out too soon.
  13. Yimin Augur

Yes case loot are raid items , and since none was made for ROS , a few items from raids can have a no drop tag .. wont be the first time raid items have had a no drop tag, I think ? :)

The mechanic is fine imo as long as they’re a tier below the best (ie, exactly as it is currently in RoS dropping EoK raid copies). Being exact copies of the latest gear seems a little much.

Also, can we not ignore the elephant in the room as far as automated botting groups farming these virtually 24/7 goes? Check out any server and it’s pretty darn common. I realize you guys don’t have the staff/tools/time/whatever to police this, but the better the gear is, the more of this nonsense occurs.
  15. Bahdah Augur

There is obviously confusion here, OP asked for chest loot to be tradeable, as in FV ruleset. This person is using "chase loot" to describe that. Chase loot, as Sheex stated, brings out the automated players.. tradeable chest loot puts us with FV.

You would make a great casino operator. :p

It would be easier to work a little more and cut back on some stuff to save for an item in real life, but people dump truckloads of cash in casinos or on lottery games hoping to get lucky. :D

The fact these are so rare isn't keeping people away from spending all kinds of resources to get something for what they perceive is nothing. ;)

But... here is the key... re-quoting part of what you said...
They ARE spending effort, so it isn't 'giving away'

People have commented on the original post not being what I'm talking about

Yes, the OP is about "current" stuff being tradable... but the OP's "reason" is that there is no "current" in the global RoS drops.

I was responding to the overall concept.
Even *IF* we did current chest drop copies... it's not 'giving away,' it's not 'no effort.' The effort is different. The effort *is* lower risk, and in many cases lower "skill". But it trades risk for time or in very rare cases, luck.

And yes, sometimes the effort is spent by people abusing bots.

I am about making a few raid items that people can buy , not the whole raid loot scale ...this was said in my OP ...this would replace none case loot rares ...

I was busting your chops. :p

What I meant is people will spend those resources to get something that rarely drops. It isn't that you are giving it away, it is the perception to those masses that you are. :) They are the ones spending more time and more money for those rare drops.

    The house always wins.:p

I knew a guy that spent close to 5 hours a day 7 days a week at the FM goblin camp in front of Droga zone-in. He did this for around 3 months. He wanted to have one of those items for every slot. There are easier ways and he failed, but the perception is he would have had to spend more time raiding etc., to get the raid drops. Not very true in reality. I think he ended up spending real money for them so he could have them.

I am not saying you should or shouldn't have them. I am just explaining the psychology why people do what they do. Hoping and spending time waiting for one of those to drop is like spending 20 bucks a week for lottery tickets for years on end hoping you get lucky so you can retire, pay off bills or take a dream vacation. Save that 20 bucks every week and you come out ahead, but it is not as sexy or it seems more costly with less reward when it isn't. Saving money to most people is too much work. It has more of a chance to happen however, when you think about it. People's minds don't like to work that way though.

People like to think that rich people are lucky. Most of the time it wasn't luck.

    Thank you for a response.

I wouldn't be 100% opposed to "chase loot" that is no drop instead of attunable.
Personally, never understood why EoK chase was an exact duplicate of EoK raid chests...and tradeable, while what took 54 to accomplish, was not.
