Casino Gold Ticket Drop rate needs to be looked at

I have heard from many that gold tickets are dropping much more rarely than they did on live. Can the Devs please look at the drop rate for Gold Tickets.

So you have no first hand knowledge for yourself, you just heard a friend of a friend of a friend say, damn, I had back luck?

Anecdotally, gold ticket drop rate is somewhat brutal (unless one is floating in plat and it doesn't really make an impact) until loyalty points vendors come into play...

Which is arguably the intent of the casino anyway? (to get us to spend the reserves of plat chasing a dream)

I mean it's intended to be a plat sink. Maybe even more important since I'd imagine less mounts were probably bought than normal due to marketplace mounts.

It took 220k for me to get my first Gold Ticket. I spent another 100k trying for a second and got nothing. I ended up just buying my second because I didn't want to test the rng anymore and got the Holgresh Elder Beads I was after off of that one.

My guess would be it is about a 1 in 1000 chance to get a Gold Ticket at 100p per go.

Yeah Gold Tickets are considered ULTRA RARE from the casino. I would say worse odds than 1 in 1000 mentioned above. Many have spent tons of plat (back in 06 someone spent 250000 plat without getting one - not naming any names but how much would that be in today's EQ?) trying to get one only to repeatedly get rat on a sticks or whatever those were. So most folks just buy them with loyalty tokens and get it going that way or sell them in bazaar but I don't think this will work for you on TLP. And no we don't need something changed again (locked doors) just cause the TLP people don't want to play it like it was - hard.

I spent 22K and got a ticket, got the DE mask for my ranger on first turn in too

How about no ticket in 500k plat. That seem like the drop rate is correct? I have never seen or heard of that before.

That's unfortunate, but that's the nature of randomness. If the rate of tickets averages out to be around 150k per or whatever, then you'll have runs like that.

The point of this thread is simply to make the devs aware that the RNG equation may need to be looked at. It is that simple. I have /feedbacked.

You had a bad run with the RNG. That doesn't mean it needs to be fixed. It is a RANDOM number generator, not a "You get x after y tries" dispenser.

If the average is 100k, then it wouldn't be too unusual to have 1 million plat runs in sample sizes. /shrug

It's a casino, you should expect it to not work out in your favor.

Here's my point. Do you know for sure that I just had a bad run in RNG or is it that there drop rate needs to be looked at? No you don't. You are speculating based on experience that no longer holds weight after multiple changes to events by Daybreak. This is why is posed the question, to have Devs take a look. Simple.

If it works just fine for other people and not you, that means the problem is that you got dealt a bad hand by RNG. It's not broken.

the drop rate has always been horrible. I have spent over a million on live throughout the years and never gotten one from the actual casino. Ultra rare + casino = horrible odds. Just keep feeding the slot machine in hopes of hitting the jackpot or try to buy one from someone else. Either way they are meant to be rare.

I know someone that got a ticket after only 25k sunk into it, clearly it needs to made more rare.

This is handled by a script. That script was last altered 2012. The script has no server checks so works the same on ALL servers. There is a 1 in 10000 chance at a golden ticket and as far as I can tell it has been that way since the beginning.
