Hm apparently it doesn't matter how many beta tokens you click since from the 2 days of petitioning and including my logfile from beta which shows i clicked 101 tokens(maybe next time i should take screenshots and fraps movies of me clicking them) i get responses saying i didnt collect enough and "I am sorry, but the developers provided a list of eligible players, and sadly you were not on the list. I apologize for any inconvenience this issue has caused and good luck to you!" yet people have only clicked 50-70 here? and gotten it what the heck is with that
If you /betacopy your character again, when it overwrites your beta character it will zero out any beta tokens you claimed on that character. Maybe some of these issues are related to that.
Another thing that *probably* is not an issue but something I have always been careful about when i do my clicks just in case it does cause issues. I always space out my clicks to keep them 1 second apart, I know sometimes things can get a bit buggy if you spam click something insta cast as hard as you can so when I do my beta clicks i always wait 1 second between clicks, it takes more time to do it that way but given the amount of time it takes groupers to farm tokens I'm always too afraid to risk spam clicking it and having some not registered by the server.
I also petitioned the missing beta reward. I also was given an ambiguous reply: You did not collect enough beta tokens. Further queries revealed that CS actually has no clue what the required token amount is, much less how many I was actually credited during Beta. All CS knows is -- well if you didn't get the reward then apparently you didn't have enough, duh. End of discussion. Really doesn't surprise me at all considering the newly implemented CS policy of we will not assist with current content, that's the dev's problem.

Same here. The latest reply from CS is that I collected ZERO beta tokens. None. Zilch. Nada. Completely false. The tracking system is entirely broken. I only used the /beta command one time, so its in no way possible a user error on my part.
I wonder if this is really worth the time/effort on the dev part. Let's say there is no more beta rewards given. How many people would stop doing Beta just because of that? I know I'm not there for that reward. The raiding guilds will test the raids, reward or no reward. Are the EQResource guys there for the reward? No way. They will test the group content, reward or no reward. A whole lot of players who come to Beta to test new spells/AA for the classes they play. They aren't doing it for any rewards. The tradeskill people will test all new recipes regardless of the rewards. Etc, etc. These categories overlap a lot too. I don't think there is anybody who contributes a meaninful amount of testing, who comes to Beta just for the reward, and would stop if the reward was removed. The big reasons people come to Beta are: To provide input, to influence the design process before it's finalized. To learn new stuff in advance. These are the real rewards, not some clickies, illusions or merc skins. Those who cry about not getting some silly decorative reward need to ask themselves: are they going to log on Beta if there is no reward at all? If the answer is 'No' then just don't bother with Beta at all and don't take the limited invites away from those who want to be on Beta regardless of the rewards.
Then don't give out any beta rewards whatsoever to anyone, ever. In fact, remove the existing reward from everyone who did receive it. Problem solved. That, or fix the bugged/broken beta token tracking system and distribute rewards properly. Beta is largely about identifying and fixing bugs, so when the beta reward system itself is bugged, I'd say that warrants a fix and not abject disregard.
Removing existing rewards is just more work and drama. But I'm totally for not giving any more rewards in the future. It's just another thing that doesn't work properly and needs fixing. But it's not worth the effort. Fix something that matters instead.
One of the SOE people gave me 15 loyalty points (on Beta server only) for helping them with bugs ; / I don't know how much work it took them, but that seemed like they had ways to reward for bugs and bug reports instead of just beta tokens dropping from mobs and such.
I don't want the beta reward either. Just trying to make a point that telling someone who put in work just like others, "Don't worry, the real reward is actually in the testing!" when you got yours is rude.
Re- male and female, the beta where we got healers that were female sirens and the warriors were minotaurs was OK because neither of those models come in the opposite gender.
You can have mine. The fact that I got it has absolutely no relation to my point, and it would not change if I didn't get that reward. Oh, and the point is not "Don't worry". It's actually "Stop whining". When I see somebody from a top 5 raiding guild complain about this, it makes me want to say to them: "So don't beta. I dare you."
I didn't think it was whining at all. A dev said they have no record of them participating in beta when they put in the hours to help. Wouldn't you be upset if you weren't acknowledged and others were? So the point really isn't the reward itself, its the theory that the beta system may be broken and not considering players who do contribute to helping out the developers. I know I don't deserve the reward though. I probably clicked like 20-30 tokens, killed a named or two, and just looked over the AAs like most 'beta testers.' I'm not even sure if our guild was asked to test raids like last year. (which we did)
