Damn those overpowered Wizards, they need more nerfs than this. Oh, wait, they're terrible right now, lets kick them more while they are down.
Enchanter - Compliant Lurch will no longer affect targets above level 100 Not a big fan of lurch tanking?
What's the logic here? These are hardly overpowering spells and they at least give us a little chance for some extra damage, mana regen, etc. Others can (and have) explained the shortcomings with the Wizard class better than I, but with as many problems as we have - and seemingly little willingness on the part of the devs to even consider addressing them - what game breaking imbalance so desperately needed to be resolved to warrant yet another reduction in our abilities? I really hope RoF brings some positive changes to the Wizard class because it gets old being the proverbial red-headed step-child. A bunch of Wizards abuse manaburn ten years ago and we're still being punished for it... Endaar
Not surprised. I saw it coming as it never really made much sense in the first place to be able to use all three (and was soon to be four.) In theory fixing junk like this should open the door for the REAL improvements the class desperately needs.
Doh you've uttered the name of the ability that must not be given voice! /em turns his head to avoid the inevitable splatter of blood and guts.
Oh. My. God. They nerfed Wizards a tiny bit in this patch, even though we are already lacking considerably in burst DPS relative to the other Tier 1 DPS classes. You know you have been beaten down like a dog when other classes are noticing it and suggesting in the forums that the Wizard class needs a boost in their burst DPS capabilities. However.. The ONLY positive/optimistic thing I can see coming from this small nerf is, that they finally accepted our/Beimeith's suggestion to make the Havoc line of spells hit much harder than they currently do, since just the sheer act of casting Havoc, puts us behind DPS wise, as opposed to just casting an ethereal. So either 1) Havoc spells moving forward now hurt as much or more than an ethereal with the random bonus effects (it is on a 45 second recast timer afterall) or 2) Havoc spells still hit for a minimal amount but have a 5% chance to triple cast or 3) Havoc spells in RoF will not be changed at all and will still be woefully inadequate /insert sad face Aristo....please listen to us.
