    The short version!

Of these upgrades, things that stand out or differ from standard percentage-based increases:

Our undead bane received a boost to both base damage and bane proc, during the course of beta.

Root, which was last upgraded in Planes of Power, has been revisited.

Heal over time spells have been overhauled. All healing classes that have duration heals saw them receive boosts. Group and single target HoT are now equal in heal output per person, unlike previously, when the single target was stronger. Shaman single and group HoT have been brought up in power to be equal with clerics, so we will now overwrite each other seamlessly, rather than block, when equal level with equally ranked spells. Self imbue Vow spells saw their HoT recourse boosted as well as a result- this one is still a higher base than Elixir.

Remedy has been overhauled. The base cast time has been reduced from 1.8 seconds to 0.5 seconds. The recast time has been increased from 3.5 seconds to 4.75 seconds, effectively adding the remainder of the old cast time to the recast. It received an additional base heal bump.

Certitude (Aegolism line) has had an adjustment for mercs only- they will, apparently, now cast a lesser version of this buff to the player cleric version.

Splash has had a lower increase than standard.

so alot of nothing 8( Really hope they make good with their promiss for "more spells/aa's to come" because I really hate paying for 5 more levels with no real spell increase besides cut and paste spells.. still will play my cleric because its the class I love to play.. BUT they really are making it harder to love my class lately.
  4. Noobieguy Augur

The boost to Remedy and the HoT are significant. The lower cast time for remedy is also. Remedy will probably play a pretty big role now with the big boost in healing and faster cast time. HoT probably more so in group settings, but that boost is a nice one as well. VoV only helpful if you solo that way, which I hadn't been successful with trying on my gimpy alt lol
  5. CaRnon Augur

well Remedy may be used more often as a quick heal cause the base cast time has been reduced from 1.8 seconds to 0.5 seconds BUT the recast time has been increased from 3.5 seconds to 4.75 seconds, effectively adding the remainder of the old cast time to the recast. It received an additional base heal bump.

so over all not much of a improvment to the spell after the intial cast of it if you planed on recasting it right away.

And allowing shammy heal over time spells to overwrite ours feels like a insult to clerics... That is our primary job.. to heal. now im gonna have some random shammy overwrighting my hot on raids...

And with VoV... /shrug its a neat utility to use when you solo or such... but I find it so dreadfully boring to swarm or solo as a cleric that I rather slit my wrist then have to do that all the time... I will do it when I am waiting to form up a group or if i dont feel like boxing a group I might do it for a little bit but after a few aa's its just boring to me.

sorry.. just feel a little bit cheated with this expansion.. But you will still see me when it goes live questing and exping my unhappy self to 100.... /shrug I guess they need to try a bit harder to make me quit... (NOT a dare to SoE!) 8)
  6. Tarrin Augur

Cast time from 1.8 to 0.5 is huge. The 0.5 cast time heal for druids, which has a much longer recast, is a huge staple in my healing at least.
  7. CaRnon Augur

Sure its huge for a druid... but this is a cleric spell. The intial heal will be faster BUT the recast will make up for the quickend orginal cast time.. so after the first cast I wll have to swap to another heal till this one comes back up. I guess I should just be happy its not a 18second recast like the Renewal line which I often use way more then other lines of heals..

Over all with the lower cast time and longer recast time we gain 0.05 seconds total when casting a 2nd time.. not much of a upgrade to me. or just raised it to 1second recast like our Light line.. then it could be the "goto" spell for me. but as of now i will have to swap another heal inbetween this one if I am chain casting heals..

I rather have faster heals then larger heals to be honest most of the time.. the more heals I can cast the better on raids... /shrug
  8. Tarrin Augur

Doesn't having a spell with a 0.5 sec cast time ( that you didn't have before ) mean you now have faster heals, and you can now cast more heals?

My impression is ( for both druids and clerics ) the line isn't meant to be your standard heal. Its another "oh crap" button almost. Lets you get in more "HPS".
  9. Mykaylla Augur

Well, at least at this point in the game, they're not going to give half second spammables to anyone, not even a paladin. As it is, landing fast in the first place is a lot more valuable than having a shorter recast.
  10. CaRnon Augur

Yeah I know your right.. I just been in a mood lately.. and anyways... any idea if / when they are gone to add new spells/aa's to our ,class like I have heard people saying they would.,. or should I not hold my breath on that one?
  11. Candydare Elder

Elidroth said they plan to add more spells and AAs but he couldn't give an exact date. I am guessing around the month of March.
