In Blackest Day, in Brightest Night. Beware your Fears made into Light. Let those who try to stop what's right burn like his power, Sinestro's Might!

Welcome fear-mongers, I will be your guide today on your journey to embody one of Sinestro's finest starting from character creation all the way to the pinnacle of what DCUO will allow in terms of aesthetic perfection. Let us begin:

At character creation this is likely the best one can do to start off. The styles are as follows:
    Face: Emissive Eyes
    Chest: Ice
    Legs: Ice
    Waist: Chevron
    Hands: Banded
    Feet: Tall Classic
    [IMG]
Alternatively you can use the Mystic Energy chest.

The color codes are as follows:
    Main Yellow: DB6F00
    Blue Secondary: 000623
    Yellow Glow: FFDA00

It is impossible to perfectly replicate the Sinestro Corps' colors as they have textures that are not available for the player. This is unfortunate but there is nothing we can do about it. Moving on.

Next is a few styles post-creation:
Sinestro's iconic gloves are obtained as a drop during the Metropolis City Hall mission while leveling or later as a duo. They can also be traded (so check the broker). They don't match the texture or slimness of the NPCs unfortunately
    [IMG]
Next we have the Sinestro Hoodie, currently obtained from Doctor Fate in the House of Legends (formerly dropped in the daily vault). For those who want a more casual appearance
    [IMG]
Next is Absolute Zero, a Captain Cold-based style obtained during the Winter Holiday event from the holiday vendor. It does not support an Emblem unfortunately (Note: Only the chest and legs in this image are Absolute Zero)
Next is Sector Incendiary, a high-tech style inspired by the Sinestro Corps. This drops during the Oan Sciencells and STAR Labs 4-player alerts. It can also be purchased for far too many source marks from Vending Unit 44 in the House of Legends. It supports an Emblem
    [IMG]
Next is the Mist Container backpiece, rewarded for completing the “Mist Connections” collection in Metropolis Battlezone (can rarely be found on Broker). For those who are playing the War of the Light storyline you will understand the significance of the mists to the Corps
    [IMG]
Next is the Disciple of Parallax set, sold by the Lantern vendor seen above within the Ranx Command Center. It can also be obtained in the House of Legends from the Tech style vendor, Evil Star. This is the direct-inspired style for the Corps, it has an unremovable emblem on the chest. If you choose White as your 4th color they fit well on the hands
    [IMG]
Lastly is my personal variant. This style mixes Disciple of Parallax with the hands and feet from the Shepard of Adara set (sold by Red Tornado in HoL) as they are closer (IMO) to what the NPCs wear in the game

Weapons! Regardless of what fighting style you choose the Sinestro Corps can be represented in this way.
In the marketplace, under the styles tab, is a pack called Yellow Energy Weapon Style Pack. This was made with Yellow Lanterns in mind (although it is far from perfect) and includes a style for every weapon type.
Alternatively you can use the Sinister Material on any weapon style to create a similar effect (more on the materials later). Moving on to:

Auras! There are a few Auras in DCUO that are acceptable for Yellow Lanterns for various reasons.
The Golden Aura (and Slim Golden Aura) is most similar to what Arkillo, Amon Sur, and a few other Corpsmen wear.
The Amber Misted Aura (Sold by Booster Gold) is far too subtle for my tastes but is thematic none the less
    [IMG]
The Yellow Nimbus Aura (obtainable from the broker or sometimes from the Booster Bundle) is a nice alternative
    [IMG]
Lastly we have the most thematic aura: The Sinister Aura, as seen worn by Sinestro himself (in his modern updated appearance) and the Yellow Lantern Henchmen summons

    Next up is Materials!
First is the Sinister Material (check the broker). This "solid" material works best to represent a hardlight construct.
This is an example of what you can do with the Sinister Material
    [IMG]
Then we have the Sinister Chroma (check the broker). This is "supposed" to represent the Light powerset but it does a poor job of representing Yellow Lanterns. As you can see it is far too neon and pitch black compared to the uniforms worn by the NPCs in the game. I don't recommend wasting your cash on this. Moving on

    Next we have Emblems!
The Sinestro Corps Emblem can be purchased from Booster Gold (and the broker). Its colors cannot be modified
    [IMG]
This is the Enhanced variant, slightly more glowy. Moving on.

Trinkets! What better way to show your allegiance that by summoning the Corps in combat!
The Yellow Lantern Henchmen Uplink Device is obtained from the Winter Lantern Reward Box dropped during the Winter Holiday event (or traded on broker). Obviously this device's strength is based on the henchmen/back-up node in your lair's mainframe
    [IMG]
Next is the Yellow Lantern Orbital Strike. This is purchased from a vendor on Thanagar (or from the broker) and obviously its strength is based on the orbital strike node in your lair's mainframe. (Note: Ignore the floating Trident, I forgot to remove my artifact)
Lastly is the Yellow Lantern Supply Drop, bought from Lobo in Death Metal Washington D.C. (or from the broker). Obviously it's strength is based on the Supply Drop node in your lair's mainframe

That is all fear-mongers. I hope you enjoyed this guide, now go forth and make Sinestro proud!

    Great guide, Drake!

A nice addition to any Lantern are the various masks that make you look like an alien. The Fiddler Crab, Man-Bat Disguise, Galactic Threat, and Vampiric Visage are all good options to give your lantern an otherworldly look.

What color codes do you use for your gear?

My color codes are posted under the 2nd image
