Bug Tracker report: https://dgcissuetracker.com/browse/DC-1558 Currently making custom tabs for LFG seems to be broken. Every time we try to create a Custom Chat Tab for it, it works ONLY while logged into that toon. As soon as you log out, the settings are gone. Re-logging to the same toon or switching to alts does not seem to matter. The Custom Tab is gone. Honestly, the BEST fix for this would be to put a PERMANENT /LFG tab on the screen. New players don't even know about the tab. Put it there on the screen and let new people see how nice it is to use it!
The Bad Guy says this is a good idea. He has to put trade chat and Lfg every time he comes on. It is not saving.
They just squished my bug report in with another about the profanity filter not saving. And the priority on that bug was listed as "trivial". This NOT trivial. Being unable to SAVE CONFIGURATION SETTINGS is NOT trivial. It should be a priority issue. The THOUSANDS of new players/characters created in the last week currently have NO access to the /LFG channel unless they re-create the tab EVERY SINGLE TIME they log ANY toon. This needs to be fixed!
I also note that LFG has been a problem for new users for a while. At least it is an official channel now, but nothing in the webpage or system tips gives you a clue it is there. Not bad for old hands at MMOs but new players (I am looking at you xbox) will have no idea it is there. Much less use it if they have to reconfigure it EVERY time they have to re-log.
So XBox has been live for nearly 2 weeks now and we've yet to see this bug even be noticed. The Chat tabs do NOT save. /LFG might as well not exist for XBox. Peeps are getting frustrated with long "pop" times for queues, and they have no reliable way to set up their own groups with /LFG. PLEASE. Either fix the Chat tabs to save on re-log, OR make LFG a permanent tab like Loot & Combat are.
This is a problem that needs to be fixed. I can understand placing server capacity at a higher priority for now but do not ignore this.
This issue is making game progression very difficult. It's all well and good going into settings and turning LFG chat back on each and every login, but there isn't much point when nobody else is in there to read it. The shout box just doesn't reach enough people.
I ran my XBox toon to 164 in less than 2 weeks. Haven't played her in over 6 months. The inability to reliably make groups with /LFG has made grouping almost impossible. PLEASE FIX THIS FOR XBOX.
Awesome. NEXT STEP: ANNOUNCE IT BOLDLY ON THE MAIN LOGIN PAGE FOR XBOX FOR THE NEXT 2 MONTHS. Get people to be aware it's there and it works, so that it can be functional. Don't merely rely on word-of-mouth to get people to access LFG. LFG only works if people use it, and people will only use it if they know it exists.
