There's just a few movements to clip jumping... On my Gadgets, i clip only the Fear Gas jumping and it's because I want a FAST gameplay and I like to play with it, is more for fun.

Woww looks like us clippers are getting spanked for doing so. The only excuse they have said about clipping is no power animations whoopdy doo. Im too dang old to be getting spanked by a game that collects money from me every month and more!! You guys really have messed with too much on this game due to winers from PVP, "he is clipping to much and that's why he killed me" lol

So does this mean that you will not be adding WM to all NPC's right? if so, good!! they are already to OP with them maintaining 2 hour long counter immunities. x.x''

I have a doubt regarding the damage increase after a WM combo. If I perform a WM and after I use, for example, Retribution into Wither, what will take the extra crit damage: Retribution or both (skill and combo)? Just wondering, because RcW or DreadFull blast can become really strong (even more).

I don't want to speak for the Dev team, but from my understanding of how buffs work in this game, I would say yes.

I really wish this was in Gotham and not here so I could reply to these sorts of posts with a simple "bye" or "can I have your exos?" :D

psh, we never complained about romeo and juliet, but that might be because my teacher let us watch the movie version that showed juliet's behind. ;)

Because so many people use their weapons now days right?

I would so love to use my additional skill points I worked so hard for on weapon combos you can't use to be competitive and will be so easy to block in pvp, then to use my skill points on Percentages which is what the community has been asking for.

Thank goodness ESO is here in June.

I would think it would only go to the might cast portion (e.g., Retribution), and not the combo. I think that's how it currently works with buffs from ability casts.
  11. Remander Steadfast Player

That's why I think WM will be better for might-based powersets than precision-based powersets. We'll see how it plays out on test, though.

In some of the "House Cleaning" it would be nice to see some moves adjusted: further range on Batarang Flurry (Looks like it should be mid range but it is melee) and Fan fixed (Currently only applies damage on beginning of cast and only to Targets on level targeting plain - but if not jump-canceled you can rotate the Fan attack to pull and stun but it applies no Damage...not sure if that is intended.)

I do like that Control Resistance and Crit Damage is being applied to all weapons.

Still a little odd Staff and Shield are very limited with weapon Synergy, but perhaps they can have more Crit inmates to encourage speccing into them.

This is why I was suggesting this:
If they make it all hold attacks at the end then pulling off one of these combos to the end will be LOLs.

i will be able to keep my chars concept? i mean can i stay a pure brawler? Because it seems to me i am forced to used these new combos from other weapons, what a really dont want to do, because it isnt fit for my character. Also it looks like i am forced to put my skill points on those combos to access to the new stat row.

How about some clarification then? In your live stream you said this is going to cater to those who do not want to clip, or want to see all of their animations. Then you go on to say that jump clipping is going to have a longer duration. Those statements are directly from your live stream. Please clarify where I am mistaken.

Now comes to the finer details. Given the above to be stated in the live stream, this directly effects anyone who clips by jumping. For example - hard light. If the animation is changed to the rifle being jump clipped, it significantly reduces the effectiveness, and speed that is hard light. Instead of not seeing the fan construct, and going right into another combo, you will be seeing the fan, thus slowing down the entire rotation. Hard light relies heavily on this speed to be a top tier, risk/reward DPS. It's currently the hardest DPS to play in the game, right along with gadgets. Ironically, both of these powers use jump clipping extensively.

How would a player using these two powers adapt to these "nerfs" to their current understanding of the game? The way you are hoping they do, buy your DLC. The DLC is designed to reduce clipping, and add a new mechanic to the game to boost damage of those powers that are non-precision based. You clarify this in your video by directly scaling these combos, with the current precision combos. If this was not the goal, you never would have touched jump clipping at all. You would leave the classes alone, allowing for the same mechanics to be used, but giving another option to those who choose not to. Instead, with the current "working in progress", you leave no option for a few powersets given their current loadouts.

To clarify - I don't take issue with you wanting to give another option for DPSs/Support to deal damage, without clipping. More power to you. However, you are essentially nerfing those players who rely on their mastery of clipping which has been in the game for 3 years and forcing them to either switch powers, or buy your DLC. Leave the clipping alone, and simply add in the option for the new mechanics. It should not be forced on anyone simply to compete.

A DLC should benefit the entire community, not be forced upon its players simply to compete because other players couldn't handle certain aspects of the combat system.

How about this - On your test server, show us what the new hard light combos would look like with the new system in place? Put my and other players fears to rest. Show us was the new rifle jump cancel looks like when performing the most common hard light combo - ram, snaptrap, fan, with a rifle shot clipped in there.

If I am off base with my concerns, I apologize. However, from your live stream, this seems to be the new reality.

I completely agree. There are computer users who create a macro with the most minimal delay they can technically have and then just spam the macro. The funny thing is that some of these people are the same ones that claim how skilled they are; the skill they have is creating a macro!

The one thing I will give the folks complaining is that the game has worked this way since start and these folks simply comported their game play to take maximum advantage of these game mechanics. Now, while the changes arent HUGE, they will have to modify and relearn their game play. I can see where that can be frustrating but that doesn't make the change wrong or unfair.

I think a great deal of the Chicken Little attitude on here comes down to poor reading comprehension. A lot of what people are complaining about is not accurate, but is clearly spelled out in Tunso's description. The only legitimate issue seems to be from avid jump cancellers (HL mainly). Placing a "resolution" on the jump cancel itself will potentially have an effect on HL rotations, but the actual duration of this resolution has not even been set yet. The only thing that's known is that it will no longer be 0.0 seconds. Honestly, without macros, I don't know that many (or any) have the reflexes to even pull that off anyway. Say it goes to 0.1 seconds. I suspect that won't affect most legitimate players. Why don't we wait and see what it is, before saying it will ruin the game and threatening to quit?

i see, well i understand that while WM will help to cut down on power costs in the long run some of us like to see those yellow numbers, what if i dont want to use my weapons? it's a part of the game but that doesn't mean i have to use it, it's like saying i need to use flight even tho im using acrobatics because it's a part of the game... just as WM would be AS good as clipping it should also be the other way around, you can't adjust one side and diregard the other. balance it out and make adjustments to both so they will match each other and create balance.

not meant to be offensive just my honest opinion. apologies if i offended someone.

I can see this being helpful in overall damage if support roles had more precision and might, but alas they dont. Inorder to make weapon mastery more beneficial to support roles I have come up with the following.

-HEALER( after completing a successful weapon mastery combo your next heal will be a guaranteed crit and cost 0 power)
    ALTERNATIVES
1 .after completing a successful weapon mastery combo your restoration will be boosted by 3250 for the next 8 seconds and can stack for up to 3 times(Boost number can be adjusted for balance)

2.after completing a successful weapon mastery combo a party member will recieve a heal that is 25% of your restoration.

-TROLLER( after completing a successful weapon mastery combo your next recharge will be a guaranteed crit and cost 0 power)
    ALTERNATIVES
    1. after completing a successful weapon mastery combo your vitalization will be boosted by 50 for the next 8 seconds and can stack for up to 3 times( Boost number can be adjusted for balance)

    2. after completing a successful weapon mastery combo a party member will recieve a power heal that is 25% of your vitalization.

-TANK( after completing a successful weapon mastery combo your next pull will be a guaranteed crit for damage and will cost 0 power)
    ALTERNATIVES
    1. after completing a successful weapon mastery combo your defense will be boosted by 500 for the next 8 seconds and can stack for up to 3 times( Boost number can be adjusted for balance.)

    2. After completing a successful weapon mastery combo 4 party members will be freed from CC effects

These are just some ideas I came up with. This thread is going by insanely fast so I created a thread in gotham gameplay discussion to get some feadback from the community to later add posts here.
