Once all the powers get their due mechanics, WM will be obsolete. I'm still confused as to why they are trying to bridge the gap between might and precision based power mechanics by adding another precision mechanic.

Remember when that comes they are not all going to be combo mechanic necessarily there is power mechanics as well ;)

I was finally able schedule in some time to test this weapon mastery. Developers, I think the concept is great, however, you guys have missed an ample opportunity for a dlc.

In many fighting games, you could complete weapon combos and on one of the combos, you would break out a sword, etc to finish the combo as a final execution. It would appear that a more polished version of this weapon mastery is really what's needed, or rather, options. There has always been a box on the top right of the inventory that was there for a possible 2nd weapon. This would have been a good way to utilize that box and let people choose their finisher weapon. Just like you cannot use a utility belt without the dlc, you couldn't use this 2nd slot without the appropriate dlc. Sure it would have taken more time to develop but the costs could have been offset. The skill tree could work the same but rather, martial arts for example, having to use brawling or hand blasters as their weapon mastery options, you could pick any weapon and allocate skill points in order to use the weapon finisher of your choosing. Also, to add a nice touch to this expanded gameplay, your second slot could have been added as a style displayed on your character as a back piece or waist piece.

Weapon mastery will give a nice change but its just missing some options like those above.

    Yea

So I have read some threads that are talking about trolls. We see weapon mastery as the start of 5-1-1-1. I have an idea that will make trolls feel more needed. Make WM cost power? Not too much since we have to work hard for the SP. Still. It makes trolls more needed

LOL what healer is going to have time to be farting around with combos in a raid? You guys are hilarious.

The Devs better hope WM doesn't suck, there's so many badass games being released this summer, fall. I fear this could be the nail in the coffin for DCUO. I honestly have a bad feeling about this DLC. I hope I'm wrong.

WM doesn't suck but for some powers that's all you'll be seeing is wm.

I, for one, can't wait until I can equip my Celestial combat healer with WM so I can start seeing some *really* big green ticks that match my WM ticks. Since I've built up way over a hundred sp over the past year and a half, my combat healing is going to be at least twice as effective as before. I can even keep my fav DW 90 weapon and just combo it into bow after throwing Mal/cBene, if it doesnt get interrupted, thats 15 seconds of ultra low power cost, ultra high ticks rolling in if I can perform the WM combos back to back, I don't even need the extra might boost but I'll take it anyway for regular power cost and even more huge ticks :D

For my sorc healer, I just throw down my circle, WM, Shard, WM, since certain WM combos are way shorter than others. My rage tank will be a self healing juggernaut that doesnt need a healer since my dom and resto allows me to self heal for the amount of my damage out, I can prob generate 2000 hp per second max using Remorseless Recovery and Bloodlust.

My nature healer? man I'll just pop 4 hots like I always do and deal a ton of damage while I'm waiting for someone to heed a spot heal. Never liked the fact that my Nat healer was always at the bottom of the scoreboard in damage. Now my Nat healer will be able to make good use of the extra precision I put in his gear. It's just a win win for me.

Sry but everyone whos been on test already has seen for themselves how beast theyre going to be if they have skillpoints so good luck trying to convince ppl otherwise lol...
