    I think it is a good idea for pve purposes. In pvp though it will give a major edge especially to the role players. That is my only problem with the idea, but I was thinking they would do some type of balancing for pvp with the buffs for role players.

    It really depends on what the buffs end up being, but also keep in mind that you need to do the full WM combo to get the buff. These are interuptable like any other weapon combo attack. But def something we need to see in practice to judge fully.

    Yea but I'm assuming (at least for now) that in order for them to be adequate for use in pve that they will need to be toned down for pvp to keep them from leaving DPS and people w/o the DLC in the dust.

    That kinda happened already with home turf. You can argue that this will make more of a difference, but it is a common practice in MMOs that expansions/DLCs give players who have it an edge. You have to make it appealing enough so people want to purchase the DLC.
    If the WM gave an insignificant bonus people would be complaining that they paid 10$ for something that doesn't make much difference.

    You can reach 100% crit chance, so you will wipe the floor with non dlc owners in pvp and this is just the dps bonus. Lets hope this wont turn out to be pay to win. You have a major edge with home turf too, and now MAYBE with this too? This is just slowly kills the gameplay, i am not enjoying winning because i was able to buy something. Where is the challange? But then again, just wait and see what they are storing for us.

    They said WM is just one alternative, so how come you get stronger then non dlc owners? I see confliction here.

    No I doubt it. You see people without home turf dlc, then you ask the same question. Are they at a disadvantage? Yes, so adding 1 more disadvantage wont hurt. I think the way the devs see it. You are only at a disadvantage if you put yourself in that situation by not buying the dlc.

    However I think many people are mad because they do not want to buy the DLC just to have WM

    Their ideas will not fix the issue. I and others have already posted some suggestions that might. My question to the devs, do they intend for the WM mechanic to alleviate this problem or not. If it's just a DPS mechanic then, meh I'm wasting my time in this thread. If it doesn't fix tanks turtling and controllers being power batteries I have zero interest in wasting my time and effort here.

    I think that this will provide an advantage in pvp though (even w/ people that have the DLC) between people the DPS and the role players. The DPS atm supposedly aren't going to get any type of benefit from completing other than the clipping with a power for a better chance to crit (the way I'm understanding anyways). This could possibly give the advantage to role players rather than it being relatively equivalent atm.

    Hi all. Just stopping by again to thank you for the feedback so far and ask for it to continue. I can assure you the team is reviewing and considering everything. This being a Work In Progress thread so far in advance of the feature going live, it may be some time before we come to conclusions and can share updates, especially when we're also working on other, sometimes more immediate things (like GU35 currently).

    WIP discussions will be long, and a delay between one idea and the next idea should be expected as we move through development.

    I watched your video and I hate to say it but your characters are stuck because your the one playing them. The tank in your last duo blew you out in dps...that shouldn't happen. You get kicked and don't beat anything past T4 because frankly you suck.

    The good news is there are many videos explaining how to get better as HL and the other power sets. I strongly urge you to watch them all many times so you understand what your doing wrong. Also join a league that will help you learn how to play and not just carry you. Most pugs won't want to carry a dps or troll that can't do their job and that's why they kick you. Once you learn how to dps or troll them you will be fine. You have a mic so your league when you find one can teach you.

    Now you can get mad at this honest truth and call me names which I won't reply to or you can take my brutally honest advise and try and become a better player. Good luck.

    It really boils down to wait and see. After we see how much dmg this does in practice vs the usual way of doing so, and what the role bonuses actually are we'll be able to determine how strong WM is.

    Actually we wont really be able to determine how strong WM is until after GU35 and the weapon nerfs so we can get ideal numbers with ideal might based powersets.

    A Simple quastion that i hawe and i am woried about are the powers that need some time to end animation or do chaneling atacks like Heat vision/Freeze Breath and loads other powers like Frost Blast Tacyon Blast Fire Blast etc...

    Are you guys considering to UPing the Damage on them becuse they arent CLIPABLE Powers nor you can jump cancel to get the dmg ????

    Now I might be wrong but maybe its just dropping with the Dlc not necessarily apart of the Dlc they've done that before. It will drop with it but not be a part of it .

    WM is coming with the DLC from what I'm understanding but if the buffs they are planning on giving to role players for completing one of the combos will give them an advantage over DPS even with the DLC (at least in theory atm). That is why I'm thinking that there will be some kind of limitation put on it in pvp, or the buff not even occurring in pvp.

    It all depends on the buff. If trollers and healers get vit/resto and tanks get dom it wont matter because of the movement mode debuffs. But if its on the power cost then yea it might be a problem in pvp

    This is incorrect. If you look at Shiny Mackerel's numbers, the changes actually buffed damage for the prior charged attacks, if you consider in terms of DPS. The reason gross damage is less is because of the increased speed. Also note that DW was initially doing half of what it was supposed to.

    WM is not a balancing change. It's an optional mechanic. Also, keep in mind that the actual balancing plans include the JC adjustment, further weapon adjustments, as well as adjustments to ability animation times and damage. It's basically a complete and much needed overhaul. None of us know what the final product will look like, but if they do it right, all powersets and weapons should be on a more equal footing.
