    I want to echo what others have said. For trolls and heals, rather than just buffing stats, I think the WM ought to offer a new playstyle.

    Perhaps the WM combo for a troll dumps instant power. Then I don't have to press 1 button to give power to the group, but instead, execute a combo. It would make trolling 10X more fun! And because it's more difficult, it ought to dump more power than the regular instant power move.

    Healers already have several ways to heal... but, I'd rather have the WM combo do another heal, instead of increasing resto. If power is tight, or I'm simply tired of mashing buttons 1-6, I can send a heal out with a WMC. The size of the heal, and number of people affected would depend on the length of the combo.

    Tanks, you already have a bit of this thought in saying each tank power would get a different effect.

    In summary, I'd like WMC not just buff stats, but help me do my job in a different, more interesting, more fun way.

    Well i second that. There must be a golden path to please all players! Not every dc hero/villain is carrying with themselves an armory of weapon. Some of us are only have our fists and superpowers. Forcing players to use those combos are not the proper way to execute this idea. Please just think about it. Strip away options, choices (which are exist for 3 years) from players who builds their hero/villian on that specific weapon/power is not a good idea. This is a roleplay game also. Lets not forget that. Please guys listen to us.

    We all agree that WM should provide a buff(vit/dom/resto/%crit/%chance of crit) that match with player role.

    I would like to talk about how long this buff should be.
    WM is additional weapon combo, and in all role player do weapon + power + weapon + power + ....(power can be 2 power clipped).
    i will prefer a short time buff : 2-3 sec that stop as soon as a power is used, otherwise there will be problem concerning Buff stack(to OP for some roles).

    Concerning what the buff should be
    WM bonus have to be a stat buff and not an action(freeing group from control,...) due time needed to do WM combo+power
    WM will mostly have 2 range amd 2 melee combo.
    so only 2 kind of buff on each kind of combo(range/melee) due to pvp machanism added to pve.

    controller:
    vit - dom - %crit - %chance of crit
    There is no waythat 1 of them help all troll power
    2 job of controller are provide power and controle the field
    So i will say that 1range and 1melee WM combo should provide more Dom buff
    and 1range and 1 mellee should provide vit/%crit/%chance of crit buff

    Healer:
    resto - %crit - %chance of crit
    all healer power are based on restoration but not all power (shield) will take advantage of %crit/%chance of crit.
    So a restoration buff seems better.

    Tank :
    Dom - health - defense
    Seems some of you ask for buff than can be usefull for a power(ice/fire/earth/rage) but not for another.
    A health buff is not really usefull for Ice or earth tank : their mechanism effect is that they don't take damage
    A defense buff is not really usefull for fire or rage tank : their mechanism effect is that they heal their damage
    the only stat usefull for all power is Dom
    Usefull for pull, heal, shield

    Expecting answer from Dc and feedback from players

    The pb is that it will need to create to much kind of action bonus(more job for Devs and they are limited by time of dlc10 release).
    It will also affect not your character but the all group or the environement, that can be a pb concerning servers capacity(specially for PS3).

    Stats buff will provide bonus to all situation and more flexibility for player. And it's also easier for devs and request less ressource from equipement.

    I'm hoping the window bonus lasts at least long enough that you can get the bonus to apply to celestial combos and some of the other longer/multi hit powers.

    As of Monday I have officially uninstalled the game and will not be playing it anymore. I think this entire idea about Weapon Mastery is horrible. All the idea is reused combos from other weapons that players can use with their held weapon. Weapon Mastery offers nothing new like a powerset or movement mode. Weapon Mastery is just the same old content being reused in a different way. I really do not have hope for this game until the PS3 console is no longer in the picture. I think there are so many things the Developers want to do and can't do because of the PS3 console. Maybe in a year or two, which I don't think this game will last that long, I will come back and be presently surprised. Unfortunately I can not support a game with a silly idea like this and calling it a new mechanic.

    Pretty obvious that the payoff for successfully pulling off the combo should be worth the risk. Since a healer can not heal while the performing combos, a group heal will be needed by the time a healer finishes executing the combo, assuming he/she pulls off the combo. Please extrapolate this logic to the other support roles & see suggestions below. (I am sure they have been suggested already)

    Tank - Taunt All Enemies/Dominance Increase or possibly a self-shield
    Troll - Dump Power To Entire Group
    Healer - Heal Entire Group/Restoration Increase

    From a Controller's aspect: no damage penalty and this direction of gameplay, seems to be catering towards more weapon combo oriented play style. What if ending a Weapon Mastery Combo with Instant power allowed a percentage of attack damage to be regen power for 3 allies.

    It would be closer to the malediction->Benediction Battle Healing, but if a group needed instant power boosts a player could still revert back to Hitting Instant power every 2secs.

    The buff could last for 6secs.

    Part of me wishes the Weapon Mastery buffs would take off of where the CC weapons left off and HomebTurf mods did not fully compensate.

    (Healing was pretty much covered as it allowed for allies to still be healed with weapon attack procs.)
    (You pretty much have DPS covered with the increased Damage potential)

    For the support roles the increased damage should still be there for most damage oriented attacks.
    For the support type attacks : Immunities from Tanks, Heals from Healers, and Instant Power from Controllers - these should be the only powers that take advantage of a different buff besides the increased damage potential - as they are more suited for group rewards.

    The team Synergy with Sparc weapons was never recouped with Home Turf. (IMO, Home Turf mods were more of a Solo buff type, allowing an individual to improve one's self in betterment of the team.)
    I think weapon Mastery has a chance to regain traction with Team Synergy by rewarding larger group contribution from the Support roles.

    For Balance with Healing, I very much like the idea of their buff increasing Restoration and/or Crit Heal chance/Magnitude.

    For Tanks Increased DOM and greater Control Resistance for ending Weapon Mastery with Breakout (Could be self or Group Control Resistance Buff)

    For Controllers- increased Crit Magnitude and Power Regen procs could make the Instant Power Spam not as frequent but the Home Turf Escalating Procs may not see full benefit if using a longer Weapon Mastery Combo. (I suppose this could be a Best of Both Worlds you get the Crit Chance bonus Escalating Procs when you need to Instant Power Spam and then get either Crit chance or magnitude buff with Weapon Mastery Combo ending with Instant Power.)

    Crit Power Magnitude>Crit Power Chance>Vit boost (Unless you are granting a huge T5-trinket like Vit Boost)

    With this in mind, please just change the Stat buff from Instant Power from 77Might and 62prec to a %DOM increase (non-self stacking). So it lasts for 6sec boost.

    Yeah, DOM boost and attacking with a weapon-mastery combo ending with Instant Power grants group Power Regen...I would be ecstatic.

    I don't think healers need any help. Giving them a healing or power bonus in this case will only further marginalize their role and necessitate a condition of only one healer per raid group.

    The devs saying we can keep our old playstyle and this is just an alternative, but this is not true sadly... the truth is you are forced to use weapon mastery..if you are not using it then your role will suffer, you wont be competative like the others who use this, because you wont get dominance,resto etc buffs. Personally im never gonna touch this plus why am i have ti mix my weapon with non fitting weapons? why am i wanna use multiple weapon? I dont. It looks awkward on my tune

    How ridiculous is this?

    We have people rage quitting the game on the forums. We have all sorts of QQ-ing about "nerfs to clipping", and eliminating jump cancelling when Spytle has clearly said NO.

    Do you actually READ the forums and listen to what is going on?

    Weapon Mastery will be awesome.

    Its not even on Test right now, its an idea. It is a concept. Lets test it out before we start crying. Let's see what it is before we create imaginary bugs in our head, or create conspiracy theories on how the devs are trying to screw you over.

    less power more fun for trollers.....but in pve computers blocking, it seems only a dps or tank will buy in to a 20 point spec......a tank because close range, range, combo. tanks:) use less power then most rolls....a dps because its worth the crit hit, or get blocked.

    Ok i am a dps but i really want healer i am a green lantern and i love dual wield for dps not that strong but it makes up for it in a fast way but if the blue lantern power is gonna be healer i want a good weapon for it nothing specific yet but a good weapon for it if they don't make another weapon with the blue lantern power then i'll need to figure out a good one. someone tell me a good weapon for dps if dual wield isn't.

    I'd really like to see at least an acknowledgement that this has been seen and seriously considered.

    I posted something similar in the old locked thread and earlier in this one. Not even any acknowledgment that it was read or even remotely considered. Spytle is, however, engaged in a fruitless debate with players that have already quit the game over the Cancel/Clipping thread.

    Just a thought. I think people at this stage want content. Yes, there are aspects of gameplay that could be improved, however we need content. They are already working with a small team, time is a precious commodity. Then to see them taking on such an ambitious endeavor like WM, and the last DLC took them almost a year, and we only received one 8 man Op, 2 4 man Ops, and limited open world missions, can you see why some would be a little frustrated ? Especially given the fact that clipping and jump cancelers were allowed to run amuck for so long. I appreciate what they are trying to do. I even contributed my thoughts concerning WM. Yet, WM will not keep me playing this game. It's strong content. We need strong, robust content. They do that, they can take my money all day long. In fact, I'll throw it at them.
