    If your going to slow things down with a lot of our combos that utilize jump canceling and clipping then I hope you at least consider buffing some of the powers dmg out. Speed was the name of the game when it came to HL so now we need a little bump up in damage.

    May have already been suggested(I doubt it), but possible fix for ST>FAN is to get rid of fan all together and replace with Willful Blast. Same damage as Fan, but with the swiftness of DB animation. Also, no combos like Dreadful blast, one tick of damage then tap melee for Claws. Personally never understood why a GL would think to "Assault" anyone with a gust of wind...

    Speed was the only viable way of getting damage out. Although as cliche as it sounds hardlight was essential to the definitive definition of DPS (damage per second) but the update is taking away that aspect prior how slow the animations are.

    I don't see how it can become balanced, without completely reshuffling the numbers. HL is a weak set without repetition. The reason I say this is because im mainly a gadgets user, but like HL, gadgets as a set is not DoT heavy or hard hitting. In fact without photon gadgets would be in the lower tier. Both are fast paced oppose other sets true, but upon initial cast power damage, they both hit for pillows.

    Since GU36 on test server, some players come on forum but don't want to read the all thread.
    So again i summarize all proposition done before(expect mod don't erase this post because it's repetitive)

    General
    power cost reduce due to speed of HL mechanism

    Troll
    •Triage is useless
    •Change Power Over Time to a range power(hand clap, impact,...)
    •Pet as a supercharge or superpower
    •whip thrash debuff applied on each tick
    •shielding update : mouvement possiblity, continuous damage absorbtion, CC absorbtion
    •Increase number of enemies affect by Aoe Stun(spikequake,...)

    Solutions are principally fix(correct application of cc effect)

    DPS
    •Chompers & Spikequake DoT should not overwrite each other
    •Precision buff(like carnage,reinforce,...)
    •Damage buff : light blast, balistic assault, chainsaw, grasping hand
    •Fan : not missing target, increase damage,not a chanelled power, 2-3 increasing tics
    •PI(panic,crush helpless) effect bonus

    PS: in the first 20 pages, good propositions and ideas were propose. But since them, it's all about whinning and complains. So remember, JC will not be used for dps purpose anymore and time animation got his own thread.
    So bring ideas that solve problem coming from those changes, don't just say those changes are painfull for HL.

    I'm thinking the GU36 changes were already slated. Before this thread. If they use any of these suggestions it won't be all at once and it will (hopefully) begin when DLC 10 drops

    When GU36 goes live, they need to have a 50% off sale on respec tokens. It's only fair to those that had their class destroyed by the recent "balance" changes

    So you are telling me they are not buffing HL while on test? I thought they were.
    If thats the case there will be either a major profit in power change tokens, or a slight drop in subs.

    Apparently this is the sought after "balance" according to others. The fact that we havent seen a green name speaks for itself, i honestly think that at this point money matters more than the customers and they couldnt give two hoots about the powersets being negatively affected anymore. I guess Joker's vault quote foreshadows whats actually happening. "You pays your money you takes your chances" couldnt be more true at this moment

    Idk why but i get the feeling as soon as everyone switches from HL, theyll buff it to make more money from ppl wanting to go back to HL. I'd save your money. It'll play directly into their hands and make swell their pockets. I guess i'll have to play dcuo sims style and raise a dcuo family to have fun, cause no one is gonna want a HL dps in alerts or raids anymore cause they'll be extremely weak. Forget about CR elitists, after this its gonna be power type elitism.

    Yep my first toon has always been a green lantern and now that he's 103 CR and has 154 SP they want to Nerf hard light so that my HL DPS won't be viable in a higher content raid.

    I could care less about spending money on a power change token. I'm angry because HL is the only power I want on my original toon....I'm disgusted with the recent attitude of the developers towards this game. Pretty much they will do whatever possible to make money and if anyone doesn't agree they either ignore them or delete their post. Ridiculous.

    I have 3 103 toons and I could care less about this balancing. It's a cash grab. Plain and simple.

    Whatever DC, I just bought Infamous SS and its the first of many PS4 games that will take your place if you keep this up. Sub expires next month so prove me wrong, though I doubt it will happen.

    Unfortunately, even though i have only been back on the game for two months after one year off; I to will be putting this game back down for good. There is just no way I can continue to pay to play the game, and I don't want to be a part of the bigger problem.
    I have spent thousands of dollars and countless hours on this game since testing phases; the game used to be great [fun- hard - challenging - etc.], but the direction it keeps going is not for me. I know this is just a casual mmo experience but everything that is changed seems to exclude the people and community that built the game to where it is now. Not like it maters but my sub will not be renewed; no matter how much i love the comic book connection that this game has the possibility of bringing its consumers.

    Kinda depressing as this was the one of the only games i had for my ps4 and i loved it. Guess its warframe time, speaking of which is incredibly fun. Try it sometime, its like futuristic ninjas kinda. Its a 3rd person co-op shooter that kinda functions like an mmo in the fact that you have to grind to get better gear and mods. And the best part about it is you dont have to sink money into it to get advanced stuff!

    No, he's just addressing a bug caused by the new slow animations, mostly just the constructs not working as intended

    Just buff HL's damage so it doesn't need jump cancels to compete and any move that is vulnerable to block or interrupt should do more damage than moves that have no vulnerability... Risk vs Reward

    I think the devs didn't facilitate enough prediction when they made these changes. Whenever people mention JC instinctively people start going into conversations about HL this, HL that, when they are oblivious to the idea that support roles use it as an incentive not to alter or boost damage but to give us fluidity in maintaining our role effectively (nature heals and gadget trolls).

    I think maybe a distinction could have been made, rather than giving us all the ramification and upsetting the masses, why not just alter aspects of the so called phantom triangle ? I think those who live in their plastic bubbles seem to assume JC and the PT are one and the same thing but they are not however. PT can be seen as more of an exploit definitively, as it is believed to be free damage.

    Why not keep the animation time of JC at 0, but disable the effectiveness of weapon attacks immediately following it or something along those lines ? Like I said JC is not only used for the incentive of damage, as a troll its almost second nature for me to transition from FG > Defib or even FG > SB > Defib. I don't do it because it looks fancy, I do it because it puts less priority on top of things that our role already have to partake in.

    I know its biased but a change of that ilk still would have merited a change to the patterns of HL. Now as a domino effect to GU, the devs will have to reshuffle their hand and find something to "compensate" for the bad draw. By this I mean Ice, HL, Gadgets and whatever further stumbling blocks are met in the future.
