    No, it won't kill the playerbase, but as far as the great players leaving...eh, it's their money and their time. If they feel that they have to leave, that's on them. I hope that these great players don't expect a lot of tears and begging from most on the game because they're leaving, besides their friends.

    how is me not knowing how to use my powerset in an unintended manner, a sign of me not knowing my powerset? how am i suppose to know how to exploit snuff out and JC?

    It wont kill playerbase but if DLC10 is as small as everyone thinks it is, hint- 2 alerts, 2 solos, bounties, 2 duos then yes it will grow dull quick especially with the spring/summer blockbuster.

    How is Your Lack of knowlege a lack of knowlege? Gee... ;) I really can't sympathise- it's called testing out every option possible and working on your rotation- if You have the knowlege that all channeled powers can be jced, yet You don't know your powerset well enough to know your finisher is a channelled power(In fact all but rage's finisher are)- thats a sign you're too busy complaining about the state of Your power then actually figguring out effective ways to use it.

    So after thinking about it I've came to the conclusion that once this takes effect every single DPS will change to celestial . Then people will cry celestial is op all over again then it will get nerfed to the ground. So everyone will switch to nature. Rinse and repeat and 3 out of 4 healing powers are broke. Oh freaking awesome.

    I really hope you reconsider the change. Been this way for years. There will always be a portion of the community that is better than the other and this visious circle of nerfing everything to the ground will continue.

    However since they are making every animation last at least 1-1.2 seconds even while clipping. Clipping overall will become slower, and HL will become super slow. So I agree with you, people will switch to celestial or rage and those two powers will be nerfed to the ground and I dont want my power nerfed. FYI everyone I changed to celestial at DLC launch for its healing side not dps. It all depends on the PVP assets.

    That's not effective. That's wasteful. That power has the potential to do at least 3x more damage than that. The power cost is in line with that. Instead you are cutting it off at the minimal amount of damage it can do. But your not cutting off your power cost. Those videos are exactly whats wrong with this community and exactly what's wrong with trolling these days. I'm a very power efficient DPS. Just because I don't try to use my power in the most selfish way possible does not mean I don't know my power.

    I know that JC clips channeled powers. Not JC the most powerful single target move fire has is just as effective. The majority of fire DPS also don't play in that manner. You and my definition of effective is obviously different if you consider THAT acceptable. Jump clipping a darn finisher... before the finisher happens. What the heck is wrong with the community these days is beyond me. I asked whether you jump clip snuff out not because I didn't think it was possible. But because I was confused as too why people would do it, so naturally I thought there was something up with snuff out that I hadn't known. "Why would these people jump clip? Are you still able to get the finishing damage or something?" so I asked. But you only confirmed what I suspected. You aren't getting the full damage. That is a wasteful way to play.

    Im not going to tell you what to do. Ill just wait & see how it turns out at the end BUT im telling you right now this is a deal breaker for most players now. Worst thing you can do is make us play something for years then change it because its free & anyone can do it so it will make your new PRODUCT (Weapon mastery) Useless or not used by most.

    I didn't read the whole 50 pages, just the first one.

    Something I don't understand is why simply not have for solution something like that in the code.

    In pseudo code:
    When Character jumps check what was the last action done
    If last action done = Channeled Ability then disable Weapon Attack & Power Attack for duration of Channeled Ability
    If last action done = Weapon Attack then enable Weapon Attack & Power Attack
    If last action done = Power Attack then disable Jump for duration of Power Attack

    This should thus make the jump cancel ability work as you intended.

    Only reason they are doing this because if clipping & jump canceling stays the same. Weapon mastery that cost real life money will be weaker then the free clipping & jump canceling not as many people will feel the need to use it. So they are forcing these changes not caring that alot of players dont want this. Thats the truth

    I don't think there's any need to be hostile. It's simply a rotation for the best case scenario of abundant power and theoretical maximum dps. Typically, you wouldn't use such a rotation 100% of the time nor with an undergeared group. And using snuff out is at least less wasteful than jump canceling flame cascade.

    If you prefer, you can get both the second tick of snuff out and a JC by simply waiting a half second, then jump canceling right before the second tick shows up on your screen. It's faster than just waiting for the whole animation to play out. An example would be: rifle tap clipped with snuff out, pause, rifle tap, jump, detonate. If you time it right the second tick of snuff out will hit at the same time as detonate.

    Theres a need to be hostile when Ogat decides its time to start implying I don't know my power. Then actually tells me some cheap wasteful mechanic as if i should be using it.

    The method you were speaking though is what I assumed he was gonna tell me.

    I am curious, if a player not owning the new dlc, will his role(support) suffer because of it? cause it looks like you get support role buffs during wm combos, which is a dps mechanic anyway. So anyone who owns the dlc are gonna be stronger? This doesnt seems be an alternative to me. It looks like to me dpses can be competative by using clipping, so dont have to own the new dlc to stay the same lvl with WM users, but support roles will be less competative against the dlc owners because they cannott preform WM combos and not getting any buffs cause the lacking of wm? Does this mean players will be rejected because they dont have the dlc?

    You do realize that rotations like the one you posted, that depend on jump canceling, are the reason they are fixing jump canceling in the first place, right? Again, if you read the OP that Spytle posted, they never intended for jump canceling to be used to front load damage, or make any animation a 0 second animation.

    That is why jump canceling needs to be fixed, it has simply been exploited for far too long. The best answer here is to allow jump canceling to be used to cancel any utility or weapon animation to go into a beneficial power to save yourself right away, however they should place a 1 to 1.2 second delay on the ability to jump cancel and use a utility power or weapon attack.

    This way, jump canceling is only used to prevent immediate death, but not usable to front load damage. It would be the easiest and most uniform way to balance weapons and power sets properly. Aren't you for balance? :)

    The dev's claim to play the game. Right. They have the ability to see what this does to game play without it going on the test server. I would like the dev's to make a decision and stick to it regardless of the few that complain on the forum. We are already addicted to the game, no other game has this fighting mechanic. There will be a few that leave but there will be a lot more that come to DCUO.

    Just do it you don't need anyone's permission on the forums.

    Oh feel free to be hostile at Ogat, I meant don't be hostile towards the loadout :p I just find it interesting to see the maximum potential dps of a rotation even if it's unrealistic. Pushing the boundaries of what we think possible and all.

    what's gonna happen with jump cliping a finisher (eg. mentals terrorize) near the end of the animation after all of dmg is done and there is only 0.2-0.3 sec of animation left that you can speed up by jumpcliping.?
    i hope that wont activate the jump animation, and will give advantage to a skillful player.
