Wonder Woman Day: June 3rd

He was the comic relief in those days and yet still managed to have entire episodes devoted to him. We are also talking about the Flash/Wally West so a much younger version than Barry Allen. Now go watch The Flashpoint Paradox where Barry helps stop a much different version of Wonder Woman and Aqua Man from destroying the entire world.. Not to mention managing to get Batman to shed a tear by the movies end. And remember the game is based on the comic books not the animated TV shows. heck don't know if they ever changed their position but at one point DC Comics and Warner Brothers ha a policy where the ONLY characters allowed in game Had to be featured in a comic book. If and DC hero was only brought to life in an animated TV show or movie.. they could not be represented in game.

Now if we talk comic books only of course Superman is the oldest starting up in 1938 and followed by Batman in 1939. The Flash first appeared in 1940 and guess what... Wonder Woman didn't exist until 1941. The only real difference is Superman has always been Clark Kent, Bats is always Bruce Wayne and Wonder Woman is Dianna or Themyscira. The Flash started out as Jey Gerrick, then evolved to Barry Allen and then moved to Wally West and Bart Allen (Barry's nephew and then his grandson) All of which was explained away by the multiverse. Jay and Barry supposed co existed but on different earths. Wally took over when Barry was killed off (temporarily. which happens a lot in the comics LOL) and then Bart (or Impulse) who travels back from the future and eventually takes over fro gramps.

personal opinions aside some one at DC Comics must think The Flash is pretty important since no matter how many times they keep changing the origins of the team the Flash always winds up a founding member.

well every Justice League member has at least one episode dedicated to them.. but screen time wise, I think hawkgirl has more screen time than the flash.. but again, there is entires story arc dedicated to bird face XD

Oh yeah ANYWAY the subject of the thread is Wonder Woman Day and since she is a favorite of mine and I will be seeing the movie as soon as its out.. I see no reason why DCUO would not do something special revolving around it. Hey at one point we had a Super Girl that looked just like the TV show version and we have entire missions revolving around Rip Hunter and the Legends of Tomorrow TV show.


I would sort of suspect they'd make some sort of big deal over the fact that she finally gets her own movie and since she was the first female super hero with her own comic books it makes sense she'd be the first female super hero with her own movie

Well true but then she was John Stewart's girl friend so every time he showed up .. she was around. besides they were trying to attract a young male audience.. Now who do you think a 13 year old boy wanted to spend more time seeing... the really fast guy in red or the hot looking female that dressed like a Hawk and beat guys senseless with a mace? My vote .. goes to HAWKGIRL! lol

oh yeah, Wonder Woman may not be my all time favorite hero in DC, (that goes to Kara Zor-El), but i cant wait for her movie as well..

Granted Selina Kyle was born in 1940 but she was a featured VILLAIN in the batman Comic Books back in those days not the Super Heroine with her own comic books. Actually according to the Wiki it wasn't until around 1990 that her character got a re write and became more of an anti hero often actually helping Batman defeat some other Villain. Just because Batman has the hots for her does not qualify her as a super HERO .. not back in the early days anyway

OMG ummm I completely forgot about that horrific bomb but your right.. Thanks to Hally Berry we were subjected to an absolutely terrible version of Cat woman than in its entire time in theaters world wide managed to gross less money that Guardians of the Galaxy made in its opening weekend.

All indications from the trailers and fan anticipation seem to show the Wonder Woman film have better success. So maybe it will be the first 'successful" Super Hero Movie with a female main character?

The sad and funny part is that it's probably true. I mean, just look at Amazon Fury 3. They could've dropped on us that sweet Wonder Woman armor from the movie or rebirth but instead we got a Superman outfit. WTF?

If all you find about Hawkgirl is that she's hot, you really don't know the character. I loved how Bruce Timm took her away from Hawkman's Shadow and made her a strong Independence woman who doesn't need to be tied by the past and can handle things by herself. She got respect and the right attitude, her story was the most interesting to me, and since I was like 6 or 7 when Justice League animated series came out (Was born 1997) I got to know Hawkgirl, same thing happend to me with Raven on Teen Titans. I Don't think there was any other way to get me into the world of DC, read comics, play games and watch their moves\shows. If they didn't introduce Hawkgirl, probably I never knew her or only knew her has Hawkman's Chick which sucks. I don't care about Hawkman. Hawkgirl alone is doing much better. For Flash, He was always fan favorite, he actually did have a lot of episodes, even in Unlimited. It was time for something fresh and new !

Andd as for the thread subject, I really want the Wonder Woman Emblem, New Legend based on Gal Gadot's, and the Wonder Woman Bombshell style. Maybe some posters for base. They can put it on market, I will buy it ^^

They shoulda totally gone with Ms Carter, she still has the looks (much moreso than God-awful)
