Hello I was just wondering if a Wolfpack for allies is in the planning. Working like the artifacts we would only be able to Wolfpack the allies that are at level 10.
Hello everyone, I have been working on several alts for the last month. Having the wolf token for artifacts is a life saver. It saves tons of money in the long run. Especially if you have two roles on one toon. I was thinking of the same idea for our allies. There are six allies that need leveling up if we have two roles on the one toon. My main toon has a lot of the allies leveled up already and if I has access to a wolf token for allies for my alts, it would be extremely helpful to my gameplay. Thanks everyone for consideration.
My guess is they'll wait for Christmas time to release Ally Wolfpacks like they did with Artifact Wolfpacks, if they're making it. Maybe an Ally Wolfpack Token could be a Campaign 2026 Reward. If they have Ally Wolfpacks my hope is they'd give a way to Reclaim the invested Ally Favor on duplicated Allies on alts. Hopefully not losing 50%, but most likely losing 50% with how they've been doing things lately tbh.
Except you can't feed allies to each other like artifacts. They would have to come up with a system that accounts for the investment people have made into the same ally on multiple toons.
The Multiverse. That is how you get the same Ally Multiple time. Instead of a Wolfpack.... Have People buy an Orrery of the Multiverse. To power the Orrery you need a Legendary Rank 15 Ally..... Once you Power the Orrery.... then you can get the same Ally from across the Multiverse for each character on your account. Can't be that hard to come up with a system for the Allies.... Took me 3 seconds to come up with this one.
I wasn't saying it would be difficult to tie into lore. We already are able to spawn multiple of the same ally and even have them fight an NPC of themselves. I also wasn't saying that it couldn't be done the same as Wolfpacks, where you have a currency and a full-rank. I was saying if you have spent irl/time/resources on more than one character to have the same ally, the duplicates can't be absorbed into a separate ally, unlike artifacts. Somehow they'd have to put in cannibalism, or find a way around it.

No canibalism needed. No need to feed the Ally. Once the Legendary Ally reaches Rank 15..... then he is Legendary enough/Powerful enough to activate the Orrery of the Multiverse and summon multiple versions of himself for alternate characters. Yes... you can feed an Artifact into another Artifact..... ... but..... Do you really need to be able to do that with Allies?? And even assuming you need it for some reason..... no need for canibalism. One option would be to use the Parasite. Lets say you have Superman Rank 15 and Batman Rank 1.... You have Parasite absorb energy from Superman.... and transfer it to the Batman. Of course.... only 50% of the energy gets transferred (you do not think the Devs would have all the Ranks be tranfered?? most likely 50% like the Artifacts). Either there is some energy loss in the transfer..... or... the EEViLLL Parasite keeps some of the energy for himself??? Again..... no canibalism needed. This is the DC Universe. There must be dozens of ways that could be used to transfer energy/ranks from on Ally to another. Again..... no canibalism needed.
OR.....and hear me out on this...just maybe, having to buy multiple of the same ally, and NOT being able to 'consume' an old ally into a new one is 'working as designed'. When they made allies, I'm guessing there was a very real goal of NOT having them like artifacts where you can consume old ones. I mean yeah, WE would like to have some sort of wolfpack (well not me...but most of you people) for allies, but even if they gave some way to get fully ranked duplicates on alts, that wouldn't mean there would need to be a way to scrap the already existing ones. I mean selling something once is great....but selling something twice? Chef's kiss. BTW... are we getting allies that go to 15 now, or are you assuming we'd get 5 more ranks in order to use this duplicating design? At the rate the favor goes up from 7 to 8 to 9 to 10. By the time we'd get to 15, it would likely take the whole stack of 999,999 favor to pop that last level.
Absolutely. That is why I did say.... "Do you really need to be able to do that with Allies??" But also added an option that did not require canibalism for people who really wanted to Rank up one Ally using another Ally. As for Rank 15.... I am Nostradaverse. Once upon a time.... we only had Artifacts to rank 120.... then could add more ranks... and more ranks... until we could reach rank 200. So mark my words..... someday Allies will be Rank 15. Me swear. Or we could get some Omniverse Allies??? UBER Powerfull Allies like Darkseid or the Anti-Monitor or.... The Specter who could go alllll the way to Rank 15??? Or maybe someday we will get some Elite Allies??? But seriously..... I was just trying to be funny with Rank 15.... and obviously failed miserably. If you ever wondered why I am Not a Comedian..... now you know.
I think an alternative to cannibalisms would be a 'referral' system, where a full leveled ally could have to run off to save the day elsewhere, but he's enlisted some other ally to come and help you. "I'm needed elsewhere, but I've got someone coming who can help you on your missions. I've already told them about your situation, so they are up to speed, but you'll need to work with them a while before they fully trust you"....something like that. The ally comes in at level 5 or 6, wherever the 2nd passive comes in at, so fully usable from jump, but not maxed till you generate some more favor. Lore wise it sounds better than 'consuming' an ally, and it would allow for limited trading. Obviously trading a lower level ally would net a lower new ally, but if you have a level 10, it should get you a fully functional ally, similar to how a level 200 arti will net you a 160, which is pretty functional from jump. As far as a wolfpack...not probably going to happen. I'd guess sales are starting to slack off on arti wolfies, as they keep putting them on sale, and now we are getting a 'free' one from the campaign. I'm sure they made a ton of money on them, but obviously there is a plateau, and we'd likely hit it faster since I'd guess the wolfpack heyday was when swapping was in full force and having 10 wolf'd artis made a lot more sense. As Allies are already not easily swappable, how many would you need? And hey....you could open up for that lantern who sells us stuff on Mogo...he's a comedian too.
