Dumbo, live action. Beauty and the Beast, live action. Winnie the Pooh, live action. Lion King, live action...

(seriously... they have confirmed F'ing Lion King as live action...)

IKR, long before the animation, it was a book about a teddy bear that comes to life through the imaginations of the Christopher Robin character.

    Based on the author's son.

    And his birthday toys.

    And the "real live-action" Winnie.

As long as it's still based on the original books, I don't see any problems with another adaptation.

Only one person even mentioned "Hook" (and it was only in passing in the clip), but does this not just seem another take on that?

Don't know. I checked it out and it sounds like Christopher Robin is grown up, has a family, a businessman, that sort of thing and how the characters from the 100 Acre Wood fit in I don't know. Maybe a point of therapy on CR's part.

Hook I liked......at least it did go with the idea of Peter Pan being an adult.....so maybe the same thing with live version of Winnie the Pooh

No, not really. Peter Pan was full of humans. Cartoon-humans going live-action humans is no big deal. The problem is when they take an animated movie full of non-humans and turn it into live action, like The Jungle Book. How can you take a movie like Lion King that doesn't have any humans in it at all, and make it live action? Will we have real scenery and CGI lions? And hasn't movies like Casper, Scooby-Doo and Yogi Bear proven once and for all that having a CGI main-character in a live-action movie is a terrible idea?

Just meant the similarity in story: children (or child-like evil) all grown up and forgetting about their childhood friends and what it was like being a child and having someone from that time returning to remind them (another similarity movie is "Drop Dead Fred", probably closer than "Hook")

What was wrong with Casper, Scooby-Doo (apart from turning ditzy Daphne into a martial arts expert) and Yogi Bear? o_O

I completely forgot about "Drop Dead Fred".....also never seen it as well. But yeah.....something like that.

Who be hatin' on Yogi Bear or Scooby-Doo........don't be hatin' the Bear.

The Lion King would be just like the recent Jungle Book movie without Mowgli... Technology has improved.

Edit: I had no problems with Scooby Doo either, at least he looked like Scooby Doo.
