Will H1Z1 kill this game?

Definatly something I plan to check out.

I like zombie stuff until I ate too much at those all you can eat buffets and and then the zombie funny movies like shawn of the dead made zombies into like "okay another bad guy dont touch me, die routine". Not to mention when it comes to zombie stuff, I watch TWD especially this upcoming October 2014, but to play it as a survivalist sounds cool but zombie walkers thing in video games ends up like beating F.E.A.R. games 1000 times over and back to grinding.

I love when new games come out & people start posting is it gona kill DC...game comes out, every1 flocks to it for maybe a month & then realizes its all hype & has less depth than DCUO (can any1 say Defiance...does any1 even remember Defiance lol) . Id say FF14 was about the only game I have seen players leave DC & stay away...but I have also seen them come back.

Sure the game has some flaws & other times it seems like poor decision making, but I still love the game & will prob be logging in til the servers shut down. However....I'd still love a chance to get my hands on the marketing department & just shake the **** out of them. Maybe a taste of the rainbow will promote better choices & sales.

Zombies?! In a video game?

Honestly, every new game that comes along is supposed to "kill" DCUO. Truth be told, the developers and the players kill the games.

This weekend, players can get early access to Wildstar, another "DCUO killer." SWTOR, Rift, GW2, ESO, FF14....you name it, everyone has said it. If anythng, H1Z1 and DCUO will benefit from each other, especially on PC. All Access means players who sub can play both. That's a win-win in my book.

I understand, this thread was just meant to introduce players to a new game and start a discussion. Yet, threads with "killer" in them are just like every new MMO that comes out.....just another one on the board.

I predict that H1Z1 will bring more subscribers to DCUO since an All Access subscription grants membership to both games.
All Access subscriptions will increase on the PS4 once H1Z1 & Planetside 2 are released.

In 3 years I think I've heard of 2-3 dozen supposed DCUO killers. This is becoming the video game equivalent of the Doomsday prophet you see on street corners with signs reading "The end is near".

And within a month of release, the forums for those games will also be filled with doomsayers.

The one I enjoyed the most was GTA, last fall. For 6 weeks to 2 months, every day it seemed there was a new thread popping up that GTA was going to kill DCUO. When it finally came out, and had more bugs than an entomology textbook followed quickly by one of the largest population explosions this game has seen since F2P was introduced caused me no end of joy.

All I have to say about the supposed DCUO killers is Riddler and his coffin poem!

I won't play it until they add female character models. I do have a decent sized crew ready to jump over and play it, but DC will still be our main game.

It's still an MMO shooter, right? I'm thinking it will compete more with PS2 than DCUO (barring the normal ebb and flow that occurs).

The only zombies that interest me are the ones with Black Lantern Rings on their fingers.
