Will All New Allies Be Legendary?

Seeing Charon mention a new ally on the horizon got me thinking... will new Allies be Legendary only from here on out? I guess that would make sense when looking at Allies through the lens of monetization. But Legendary Allies take a massive amount of resources to level up. I'd really love to see some other Allies that have very specific, niche or novelty abilities or passives rolled out as Rares or Epics.

Thoughts?

I would love to see more diversity. Maybe more allies that aren't iconic with a single passive option.

Can't wait to get my Rare ally Captain Kruel someday. But I'm looking forward the most for a Legendary Titanic Trenton.

Since allies are their new monetization racket, err… I mean wonderful new gameplay enhancement, yeah, that is my expectation.

I hope I'm wrong, but sadly I don't expect to see any new character designs that aren't already in the game.

I would like some rares and epics etc but I have a feeling most that will be coming going forward will be Legendary's.

Nope. There are plans for Uncommon and Rare allies this year. The next one is Legendary, however.

OR (and bear with me, its a crazy crazy thought)
They could take a hard look at the balance (or the the extreme lack of it) and bring legendary allies into a realistic ranking requirement expectation.

I know, its absurd to think they should not require the insurmountable leap but hey, crazy ideas sometimes are good ones.

What I want :

Capitalize on the great Peacemaker show start and have him as an ally

What I expect :

The hinted new ally will be another from the Metal in game story, Martian Manhunter or Miss Martian
