Why would I buy Base Items in the Marketplace when they don't contribute to any feat?

This makes zero sense, specially when you realize that you have to open your wallet to complete all the Legends PVE feats.

Before someone tell "base items drop at instances" I must reiterate that the drop rate of USEFUL base items is atrocious: I saw the Occult Couch drop ONCE in the group loot, from trash adds! unnecessary to say that the dice didn't favor me, and the overpricing in the Broker is just stupid.

Many people don't just get base items for feats, but get base items to decorate their bases and league halls.

That would be me and my demographic.

However, I hate the current offering of base items because most of them aren't exclusive and none of them can be redeemed infinitely.

The room dividers for example. Why would I buy just 4 if I need 12? You really think I'm going to spend more money than it costs for me to subscribe or buy a full game off steam on consumable versions of base items? Nope.

If your demographic hates base items and people who aren't in the demographic don't see the point in buying them, then you've got weak, lame products on the marketplace.

Bottom line: Make all base items on the marketplace redeemable infinitely. If you're worried about people exploiting the generosity, make them non-tradable, non-donatable to League Halls. Problem solved.

As for feats thing, I don't mind either way. I don't see it as Pay to Win because you aren't getting a feat which is available exclusively to those who buy the product of the marketplace. You can earn them for free by playing the game. But honestly, I'd just rather not see products that already exist in the game on the marketplace. Unless they're really cool or part of a set such as the Lantern Corp Emblems.

Pretty-much this. (Besides, maybe some would want more mammoths for their lair after getting the feat) With that said I can agree that the actual feat related versions should be a bit more common... )

I know a few people with 10+ aquariums. Some people buy purely for style.

I haven't had to pay for any of those feats. Pvp and LPVE drop the marks you need to buy all the Legends characters. So where does someone need money to get the feats?

This is one of the areas where the game goes ( got you now). If you are interested in the legends aspect of the game, it is better to sub for a month and grind out as many as you can. It will be cheaper than having to buy them off the MP. Paying with marks is a perk for legendary members.

That's usually my strategy, I stay premium most times, but when my MoL get maxed out, I sub up for a month and grind out as many legends as possible, only had to sub up twice to unlock all legends, so $30 bucks to get every MP legend wasn't too bad. I'm sure if someone REALLY applied themself, they could get them all in a 1 month sub.

Already mentioned, but a lot of whining happened preemptively crying Pay2Win when they were first adding those to the MP.

One problem I have with the base offerings in the MP is that the price scale between very common and uniquely awesome isn't very high. The packs were a step in the right direction although some of them are still too silly. Being able to put rugs in my lair shouldn't require a small loan.

This is one of the few areas I think the dev team got right. Legends themselves may be slightly overpriced, but they are icons so I see no problem with it. They provide a cheaper route to get them if you're interested in them, with a sub, which also opens up the game for the whole month. Personally I have never been interested in them. I bought catwoman and played a handful of matches with her. Only won one of those matches. Not her fault though I suck at pvp.

For the most part i agree. I don't think it would HURT if they gave those base items toward the FEATS because as you said it is already in the game for those to EARN if they want or they could just BUY them out. As for the COSMETIC side of things i don't really see a problem in the way they have utilized the MARKET PLACE to sell base items , i think it is FINE the way it is. Except maybe they could start adding MORE of things people would REALLY like to have in their bases. For example : I NEED a BATHROOM MIRROR. No seriously i would think it would be COOL if we could get a mirror of some sort that actually reflects your REFLECTION. This especially after they just did some ANIMATED base items.

Making the base feats purchasable like this would open the gates to make other feats purchasable too. The legends toons being able to purchase is only needed for Prems/non members. If you are a memeber you do't need to buy Legends. It's a way to make ppl sub. And they need subs/ paying premiums to keep making new stuff.

I know these things are similar. But buying legends toons is like buying Epsiodes for me. They have been one back then when it was DLC packs. So in my head they get the same treatment.

At least that's my inner reasoning on why Legends aren't P2W feats. (same goes for power and movement mode respec tokens, which Legendaries get for free if you count LP in).

But on a side note, the base packs and legends are overpiced imho. Specially the trash loot and reskins. :/
I gladly pay my 8,50€ per month for the convenience/perks, but beyond that, nope... no gonna dish out 10€ for a reskin if I can get it after a few legends runs.

Fortunately even free players can get Catwoman.
There's also a nice 50pt feat for purchasing all the free Legends with your MoL, just a little food for thought when considering whether or not to get more characters, not to mention a whole slew of easy to get feats in Legends PvE.

Do they give free players free MOL. I subbed and dropped back to premium. Sorry I told you the wrong one. I bought huntress because I liked playing her character in the t5 solo. When I lost access to content I tried out legends pvp for a little while. I let huntress down.

Yes, free members get MoL.
Catwoman, Bane, Two-Face, Joker, Huntress, Robin, Nightwing and Harley are all available to free players, I believe they also added Classic Batman.

Yea I knew about robin, he gets offered to you fresh off the ship. Didn't know they gave everyone free mol. Though it was a sub perk. Thx for clueing me in.
