Why remove lair fights?

I was more than unhappy with the Lair fights beeing removed from legends, cause was the most dynamic kind of fight to get marks of valor.

But okay, i was not going to complain about the endless lair fights against healers, i mean some fights toke more than 10 min, just healers and trolls. healers and trolls...

So, now Lair fights are gone at all, and i have to spend like 15 min fighting on batcave to get some marks of valor , and consider the T5 gear part cost, 1000 valor, so, i have to forget my life just to play PvP? I mean drop college and work cause i have to spend 9999 hours on dcuo just to get some gear.

I am not going to renew my legendary next month, just cause of that.

Unless something changed that I missed they aren't gone completely - the PVP maps rotate in and out. It should be back in there eventually.

Really? Well the Legends lair fight is gone by a month.

Yeah it's been gone awhile. We don't really know how they decide to put maps in the rotation, to us it's completelly random. Typically the staple is the Batcave in either 1 v. 1 or 2 v. 2 form, all of the other maps get swapped out every two weeks. Some maps take a while to show up or don't show up often.

It also could also have been removed for a while (typically for fixing map issues or bugs), like the former Moon and Safehouse Rescue, which has been gone for a loooong time now. But I would hope they would let us know if a map was taken out of the rotation, and why.

Less qq more pew pew. Lairs allow fast farming sure but spare a thought for the 4s and higher players. Legends starlabs and arkham for 2 weeks there. Just need to suck it up. Eventually ill get isis , watchtower, fos . Btw I find qing 4s 5s and 8s comparably speedy for farming provided youre winning

Most higher up players hate lair battles. A lot. Including myself. There are quite a few other maps I dislike as well. However, when those maps roll around I simply do not play them. I don't act, to be honest here, immature and threaten the game by saying I won't pay anything next month to play etc.

That being said the maps rotate in and out randomly every two weeks so it could be a while before it comes around again.

If the only reason you enjoy that map is because of it being easier to earn marks on, might I offer up that you are playing PvP for the wrong reasons. If getting rewards so quickly is so important to you, an mmo may not be the right type of game for you.

Sounds like you already have the styles and gear done , I'm guessing thats what you call higher up . In that case I totally understand doing the other maps that have lower weighting feats than the styles collectively. It's known lair battles are the most efficient for the ones still in gear up process. Small portion have evolved past it to the map feats and such.

No, I call higher up the people who are very good at legends and often don't lose.

Small tip, if you get a group together you can farm Arkham very, very quickly if you guys are good. If I'm running with a good team we can often win in under 2 minutes. If the enemy team is bad I've had wins that clock in somewhere around a minute.

Yeah with the right node strat its uber quick just sooo sick of objectives atm . Craving some tdm action pvps just fun for me rewards are secondary I grind my arena gear asap when it drops

Just send one of your teams tankier characters over to the node by your opponents base to stall them for a bit, take all the other nodes then slowly move in towards their base and spawn trap them.

I don't need marks. I have everything I need. But I enjoy 1v1 lair battles in legends. And I haven't seen it in rotation since I think November. I wish they would bring it back.

They need to bring back safehouse recovery too.

I don't see the big deal with lair battles. Its just who can spam more powers then other [Your power and health is reset so...].
No strategy involved in 2v2 just pin the one with the lowest health in 1v1 try to force them into a wall.

I support your decision, I won't try to pressure you into changing your mind. Games are meant to be fun, if you aren't having fun and enjoying yourself then quitting is the right thing to do.

I've been waiting on Lair 1v1 and 2v2 Legends for a while now. I don't find PVP fun but I tough it through because I want the style feats. Anything that gets me marks the fastest is what I want to run.

I hate lair battles simply because I'm playing on a PS3. More often than not, my opponent is on a PS4, and has plenty of time to kill me before I even get to start the fight.

If they aren't that good, I end up starting with 1/3 to 1/2 health , but It's still an advantage that makes me very grumpy even when I end up winning the round.

I may feel differently when/if I ever upgrade to the PS4

Ace has been gone forever. I was planning on trying to hit 1k lair wins this weekend so of course they're gone

1000 marks /20 marks per lose = 50 runs
50 runs * (15 regular time +5 waiting time) = 1,000 minutes
1,000 min / 60 min per hour = 16.67 hours

I just enjoy legends and love when good rounds go for a long time
