Why do we have a test server if you are going to ignore the feedback?

Why do we even have a test server if the devs aren't going to listen to the feedback and they're going to just release the content broken anyways?

They had to ignore feedback to push the new agenda.

Its no coincidence that open world missions are spread out despite players disliking it or a puzzle in the solo to slow us down.
Or the fact that open world missions have to be turned in manually after completion for twice the travel time.
The idea is to make daily missions as tedious as possible so you buy more currency directly from the store.

Of course you could argue that the augments help with some of those annoyances, but you also have to spend real money to rank them up if you play multiple characters and want to get them relatively fast.

They took a hit with the last DLC and corporate overlords were watching closely. Thus they had to get this one out sooner than later, especially with the slowdown of the holiday season approaching.

Still like it more than the last DLC, despite not being a fan of any Apokolips/New Gods content in general. (never appealed to me), so there's that.

I hope every tester sees this and stops leaving them feedback. The studio gives you all the silent treatment, give them a taste of their own medicine.

I've been wondering that for a while now.

I wondered this, from memory some of the feedback I saw was:

Convoy takes too long to spawn - it still does.
Mission givers are too spread out - they still are.
Brim Bounty doesn’t grant completion after 1 kill - it still doesn’t.
Feats missing from solo - they still are.
Chasing Lashina down a corridor repeatedly sucks - it still sucks.
Playing the colour match game 4 times is overkill and boring - it still is.

I’m normally against the community bashing the efforts of the dev team based on their personal preferences but damn, I hope you’re ashamed of the content you’ve just released.

Fear not, for we can use the marketplace to skip right past all the carefully engineered, antagonistic design!

Maybe that was their plan: create content so player unfriendly that you get just frustrated enough to quit playing and buy the currency.

EP48 was on Test server nearly a month before going to Live. Plenty of feedback and bugs reported on these forums during that time. Legit 0 responses from Devs & nothing fixed. Virtually 0 communication with the community aside from the initial posts on Test & Live each from different Devs posted around the same time to appear coordinated. Everything we say seems to fall on deaf ears.

Are bugs ever going to get fixed? Like invisibility bugs & chat bugs occur every single day & have been around way too long. Seems all they care about is turning this game into a mobile game cash grab (without even being on mobile aside from remote play)

On a side note, I do like the welcome message/bonus week pop-up. Thank you to whichever Dev seems to be working on those QoL updates.

I still believe this is due to the side effect of working remote,i dont think ignoring is possible in a office where you got no choice but to actually work vs at home where youre controlled by who? I doubt their deadlines are super strict if you look at what they provide in episodes for the time they invest it seems very low bar thats set. Which explains the games state and everything its all the same, lacking on all levels.

Only problem with that is despite DCUO being their top earner it feels like someone in EG7/Daybreak wants to close it down and having no Testers might be the sign they need to. I’m not trying to be paranoid but literally out of the blue they introduced in game currency into the marketplace without even giving us a hint they would do so. That’s pretty troubling because it means the game is going somewhere probably not good for the rest of us.

They want you to do quality assurance and bug testing/reporting FOR FREE for them. They don't care about you opinions. Just find bugs for us like a good little boy.

To be fair they care more about loopholes in the game that cause them to lose money directly then they do fixing bugs. If there was something in Episode 48 that would make them lose money on their backend you best believe that would get top priority and get fixed.

    The currency: to increase income.
    The tediousness:
    A. To increase the time that players are online (helps with stats to the big wigs).
    B. To create a desire to spend more, to 'get the job done faster'.

Content might start getting pumped out so fast you have to play the previous dlc more to finish gear feats and OP pieces. Keeps you online longer.

If nothing else, this episode should kill off anyone still casually trying to run alts.

Some say the point of test server is to see how many people they can idk tick off by not listening and implementing what they say and in that case the developers win every time I say the score has to least be Devs: 1000- Players: 1 :(

People aren't giving feedback. People arguing with each other's feedback.
A long table for 24. 12 each side. Few devs standing.
They give people a chance for feedback. It escalates to them arguing with each other.
    Devs leaves.
It takes 10+ years for people to realize?

Although your take is a possibility, I'm not sure it's as nefarious as that. I've talked about this a lot in game with my league and friends and my view is a bit different. I see the quest npcs this time around more about immersion. Every other DLC open world all these big heroes are just standing around, away from the fight, waiting for us to come do the work for them right?!? This open world we are talking to NPCs who say hey, so and so is out there kicking butt, go give em a hand. So to me, it seems more comic accurate. Is it really tedious, meh, if you use the teleporters it's just as fast seeing as they are each in the zones you have to go to in order to complete the quests. Instead of flying around doing all 3 quests and coming back, this time just do 1 at a time and turn it in as you go and use the teleporter to go to the next zone.

Yep, testers should include the phrase, "this will cause the game to lose money" in all future bug reports. Then everything would be fixed before launch.

    Stop testing for them..

This happened last dlc it will continue to happen

They put it on test and then forget about .. then push it to live and take in feedback on live to fix it.

They may as well get rid of the test server
