That might work. I mean I do Legends PvP with friends but we get sooooo bored. Especially due to uber lag so I personally don't give a rat's butt win/lose. As long as I get marks and feats needed. *shrug* Im almost done with my EA (90) PvP gear anyway. Been dragging on it cuz, well, bleh. LoL

What would be a good conversion rate 1000 to 1? Its not hard to earn 100k-300k MOT a month if you are t6. Getting marks in PVP can take a lot of work if you do it legit. at lower tiers you only get 1-2 marks a match.

It should be based the same way the amount of MoVs you get; i.e. your CR. If you got Aeronaunt then you're not gonna get the same amount as you would if you had Elemental Android (or hell even Vengeance).

That's the part that's always puzzled me about PvP gear... Why does it have to have better stats? Isn't being the more experienced player enough of an advantage? I mean I guess I understand why there would probably be at least one set of gear that you can't get in PvP without PvPing. But really why is it that being slightly harder to kill is part of the reward for PvP? If PvP is really about the most skilled/smartest/wiliest being the one who wins then why give those who win all the time bonus HP/Defense or whatever? It seems like giving the newbies a stat disadvantage would be counterproductive for getting new players hooked on PvPing... After all aren't you more likely to put some actual effort into trying to win if you think you actually have a shot at winning some?

The stats get better for progression. If you just keep getting the same gear over and over why upgrade gear at all? It was also there to keep people in PvE gear in check.

I just wish they would either raise the MoT cap from 65.5 or let me just convert them to MoV ONLY because I'm sitting at the cap on MoT and have literally nothing to spend them on.

Raise the Merit feats for all I care, I just have marks in my inventory I can't even consume without wasting them.

And now that PvE gear is going to be disabled in PvP what purpose does it serve? For that matter why do we need gear stat progression in PvP at all? Wouldn't unlocking new styles be reward enough?

I heard that the devs were going to implement a MoT>MoF/MoV conversion just as soon as we reach 100 consecutive forum posts that contain zero grammatical errors :)

But again why would that really matter? Those who enjoy PvP will learn the basics. Those who hate PvP and just want the styles wouldn't learn the basics of PvP, true but if they don't PvP anyways why would it matter if they have top tier PvP gear? It's not like it really increases the odds of you running into those who refuse to learn how to PvP while doing arena PvP.

You missed my point entirely, it's not about how long it takes to queue, it's that after entering you have to face either an Op player with an attitude problem, someone using PVE lvl 90 gear while you barely have PVP 86, or if you end up in a group they either forget that in PVP is teamwork over all else and leave you alone, or if it's a duo it's with a guy who is either a noob (which isn't bad of course), or an T5 PVP player who if you get killed decides to either badmouth you in group chat (and then in Shout), or just rage quits. Also what you just said is another BIG issue with PVP, I'm not against giving marks even if you lose, but instead we should give the same amount of marks win or lose (they will vary according to PVP CR of course), and the real price for the winner should be a special PVP only trinket, consumable or special gear, like if you are PVP CR 87 then you get a PVP CR 88 unnatuned rings or utility belt. And to make sure it helps but doesn't make you raise the CR we keep the progression rule the same that only with vendor gear you can progress.

Getting into PVP is an uphill battle. If you didn't start at the beginning of the season you get absolutely slaughtered by players with better gear. There is no fun in that and it is discouraging to a large majority of the player base.

Lets just play Devil's advocate here. What if players were able to convert PVE marks or buy PVP gear with PVE marks. They would be able to either get their styles and get out (These people aren't going to be long term PvP'rs anyway and dont really effect the PvP population) or they will get their gear and stick around for the rest of the PvP feats (This helps PvP population).

the thing is that if we can do that for example all the users could have the styles of MOV only doing raids and not doing PVP things like legends arenas or the ring war ok

Because this would open up slots in your inventory, we can't have that!

Can you imagine how many Bank slots they've sold since the MoT debacle, why fix it?

This right here. I am so tired of having max MoT and have nothing left to buy but the tactical mods.

    meh -.-
When are people gonna stop wanting everyhing for doing nothing?
You no play pvp, you no get marks. You no get marks, you no get pvp feats.

It is that way and I sure hope it stays that way.
And to the op especially: What are you supposed to do with your tons of MoT? The same as everybody else who is maxed out - nothing except for the monthly refill of your HT stuff and utility belts. The former of which will most likely become more expensive in the not too distant future, as it has been confirmed that a boost 3 & 4 is planned for the HT stuff.
Just think of it...there are not only a few players who are constantly maxed out both on MoV AND MoT.

Shouldn't that work both ways, then, in the interest of fairness?

Tricky thing with that line of thinking is that it could easily be turned around on PvP players. It'd be super easy to say that if PvP players want the PvE Marks necessary to power Mainframes and get the nice little bonuses from Lairs, they should PvE. Going further, they could even use it as the basis for asking/demanding/whatever other term works for you that the PvP to PvE Mark conversion be removed entirely.

Just posting, not sure if this has been said but one Nexus run=/= a full set of gear?

Yeah just no. Sorry but that would take the fun out of earning gear traditionally
  19. The dark knight New Player

The devs have at some point in this forum explained how making MoV available to non-pvp players would have nothing to do with fairness, since the vast majority of basic equipment for any variation of playing this game requires MoT (f&e-related stuff, HT-upkeep & more). Pure pvp players would not be able to do basic things in the game that are part of the game as a whole and not specifically pve related. On the other hand, MoV give you access to everything that exclusively has a relevance for pvp, i.e. pvp gear & supply. That is why it is possible one way, but not the other way around.
  20. Green Lantern New Player

Right, but you said "You no play pvp, you no get marks" so shouldn't that be the same for people who "no play pve"? Or in terms of HT mods they could also make them available for MoV. Basically what I'm saying is on one hand people are saying it's OK if you don't want to play PVE, here's a workaround. But if you don't want to play PVP, too bad, play it anyway.
