Where are the mental balance changes?

    Where are the balance fixes for mental? Where's the discussion on how to re-balance it? We would greatly appreciate it if someone actually listens to feedback.

    It boggles my mind how Ice, Nature, Hardlight, Quantum (all was worked on around the same time as mental) have become FOTM powers, while mental turns into a mid tier power to bottom tier.

    Recheck your numbers, we've already checked them and there's some real imbalances in the powers at the moment.

    Yeah, I gave up on the new mechanic for Mental. I'm back to the Weapon Mastery way for doing damage; it works competitvely for raids/alerts, but I run out of power in the solos/duos doing so. Be nice to have a mechanic that gives power back and does competitive damage like other powers have.

    Idk, perhaps you mental users arent making enough threads complaining about the problem like everyone else did. Or perhaps all the mental users went quantum.

    Even the Mental WM (which was nerfed also btw) is not better than Nature, HL, Ice, Quantum using their AM (while BTW also having unlimited power because it's the AM).

    Yeah, the loss of mass terror did hurt. Pyrokenisis is nice, but its AOE is limited. I've still topped many HL/Ice damage users. Haven't seen how I fare against Nature or Quantum, but I doubt I can beat Quantum with either of my two favorite powersets (Mental and Ice) at the moment.

    No one mentions Earth anymore, either. Earth by far got hosed the most with their mechanic.

    I don't know fire but that's probably like saying wet garbage smells worse than dry garbage, both are garbage so why even argue
  10. BumblingB I got better.

    Earth and Sorcery were pretty dang good AMs, but they plateau at a certain level and now there is no way to tweak more out of them. Pets are based off your CR, not your stats. They should base them off your stats too, at least. Like make it work off your might stat or something. Sort of like Gadget's Battle Drone works off your vit now.

  11. BumblingB I got better.

    I was making a joke about Gadgets got a pretty big hit to damage with the changes to Distract. You can squeeze more damage out of it than Mental and Fire and I will agree, Mental needs a reevaluation. Mentioned that a lot. Fire needs a buff to base damage for it to compete.

    Oh I wouldn't say it's garbage per say..

    I've done some amazing eye popping things with fire DPS that made me exclaim out loud... "Whhoooooaaaah yeahhh!"
    The other 99% of the time I'm banging my controller around trying to figure out how I actually got it to do that in the first place.


    Regarding Mental, what is it specifically you aren't pleased with? I haven't ran tests on Mental in... gosh, 2 months now?
    Did it slip far?

    It didn't slip far, it just stayed at the bottom and wasn't touched again, even after hundreds of pages of feedback.

    The WM does about 90-95% of the damage it used to (depending on how well grouped adds are). The AM does about 75% of the damage the WM used to do. It's pretty frustrating.
