We all might already know that the new powers are gonna be water and atomic ( I mean let's hope so ). So, here's my question for y'all y'all and y'all! What do you want as the next power? For me I would love Blue Lantern powers and I know, some of you may be like "How about villians???!!!" Well, you can be a villian with a blue lantern ring...giving hope to villians is also giving hope XD. Or, at least some sort of item that can change the colour of our rings :/ And Blue Lantern powers can be for Healers Back to the question now...
I was excited for Experimental Serums. Bane has been one of my favourite DC Comics characters since I was a little child and saw him in Batman: The Animated Series. I was looking forward to seeing a power based around the concept. I would like to see all Lantern colours available as powers. Personally, I'm a fan of the Blue Lantern corp, so I'd love to have Blue Lantern powers. But as a fan of the entire Lantern lore, I'd love to be able to play with characters from all colours on the spectrum. Honestly, I'm happy to see anything, really.
Well, if we follow the order, the next power after Water would be a stroller power. Going the lantern route, I'd see black lanterns where your powers a) turn enemies into the undead for control, b) absorb the life from enemies to convert to power, and c) lash the snot out of enemies with black tendrils
I just think this was another instance where they just didn't have the tech or resources to pull it off and when they heard all the good feedback about the water powers Aquaman had they did the tweet that got so much attention... Personally, I think after these two powers they'll be done. I'm guessing you'll see Atomic late this year, and then Water maybe the second quarter of 2016.
Just to point out there was just a recent thread talking about what future powers people would want, think it was one of Antwoman's threads. Also the particular power you want has been talked to death over the years, expect to have a lively thread. And sadly at this point there wont be anymore powers after the upcoming two powers. There is no more memory space for them, someday that may change but that's a long way off.
Aaawww that's sad, but still, if they had that space, what power would you guys want? No need to think of anything else, just, well, what you want.
Honestly after they get this set of powers released I think they should stop making powers and focus on the game and all the things they have been promising over the 2 years. 15 powers is plenty for diversity of play. All of the things that make the game hard to play have nothing to do with the power sets.
I wanted and still want a powerset more physically based and less prone to gaudy visual f/x (ie those butt ugly lag inducing lantern powers).....serums seemed to fit the bill nicely and I am disappointed the plans were changed it was and is an ideal tank class. so Serums....
Well, lets see. since Experimental serums got put on that shelf of good things that might never happen. We probably wont see any new powers after those 2 until the PS3 is dropped. But my vote will always be for shadow powers.
Not sure we ever going to see new powers. Its been a year and we only got munitions (the power I was less excited about lol) Everything its been weird lately with the development of this game I no longer trust the quality or longevity of the game... Anyways sticking to the thread I think Black lantern powers could be using Darkness powerset because its not really HL with black effects. Black tendrils, shadows AoE... We could be seeing another powerset. I think serums was cancelled for good. I still want a pure physical no effect super strenght power!
Different engines. Makes all the difference. DCUO is built on a 3rd party engine that wasn't purpose built for anything where as FF14 is built on an engine purpose built for Final Fantasy games on last gen technology, including the Wii. I also believe that FF14 use smaller maps than DCUO. More segregated which means less intense on the memory and therefore allowing for more detailed models and textures, but I'm only basing this theory off a couple of videos I saw a friend link me to where they had to load into different maps for various stages of a boss fight.
. no more memory space? , what the heck does that mean ? That's like something I tell my kid when I need a dumb answer so he will stop asking the same questions over and over again , lol
