    I agree, unless there are some marks given, there is absolutely no reason for me to go back and re-do lower content.
    In essence, they are eliminating players from the limited pool of players they have, that will run lower content. Thus making it harder for lower CR/new players to find groups to play with.

    Those who have higher CR toons will also be less likely to want to run lower content because asking your League to run something that they will get nothing for, is a little more difficult.

    Use the existing Prestige-Diminishing returns idea on the marks and you will not lose everyone.

    I can foresee many greedy high tier players asking for cash on return for helping newbs on low content, mainly Prime and AaB, just like many don't help unless you replay them, this will be the same.

    I will agree that I can see that coming, but I wont agree this is "greedy".

    My stance on that has always been basic economics...supply and demand. There would be no players doing that, if there were no players willing to "pay".

    The Free Market society that DCUO is, allows for so many different forms of "earnings". Playing someone through something utilizes their time. Your time is usually what your boss pays you for at work.

    I don't take $ from people, but I won't decline an offer to replay me on content either.

    If you remove the incentive of marks, you are right, other incentives will have to come forward in order to have players run content that otherwise would be irrelevant to them.

    When looking at the graphs, remember when it says "Solo" that includes adding Open World Content as well. I dont think it'll be Open World AND Solo instances at the same time, but they may circulate that.

    They will do the same thing they always do keep running the new content into the ground. This is not going to be an ideal system for everyone but no system will be. IMO this will be better for most all the players. Will it have some issues sure...but I think it will be better overall.

    QUESTION for MEPPS / SPYTLE:

    1. How many Feats / Skill Points are you planning to have in each Episode?

    2. Is it possible to have a grace period allowing for a higher cap of the new marks when the conversion of MoT / MoF to the new mark happens in GU47? (Ex. Increase of mark cap at the start of HoP 2 and reduce cap before the first monthly episode) I only ask because I think some players (including myself) stand to lose a lot of marks during this process due to saving for future mainframe maintenance costs.

    3. Will each episode Normal gear drop all gear pieces or will normal gear be restricted to how the Rare / Vendor / Set gear are scheduled to be released (only 4-5 pieces available at one time per episode)? I ask because I didn't get a clear understanding from the graphic.

    remember, we will only have realistically 1 month worth of content, not 6, but that month will only have small amounts of content, that's the thing we have to keep in mind, it's not 6 months, it's actually one month of limited content, I might as well just come back every 6 months and play the content all at once, because after all it's the only relevant content to my tier.

    How many low level players have really anything to offer high end ones, specially premium players, and honestly offering your help on content isn't supply and demand, it's just being greedy, if you are offered the pay then it's ok, but demanding payment for the same content most have access to, only because you can't have marks, it's not fair to those players. just like those who demand a replay to help out, player that will use this to ask for payment to help are also wrong, that's not how the system should work. If a new player sees this, he will become just as spoiled as a high player, something that it's just not work the punishment of leveling but losing the chance at marks. This should be happening this way, there are other ways to change the system but still keep it fair and relevant to everyone. I even suggested lower amount of marks form old content, something that wont break the system but would still reward high end players, but like many changes here, Devs will only listen to a few, not the majority.

    With all gear across all tiers costing the same (or similar in terms of iter 1/2) amount of marks of victory, will league prestige tribute values also be available for all gear in all tiers?

    This is certainly about supply and demand!

    There would be no players supplying the pay-for-service if nobody was willing to pay for it.
    Want to eliminate this? Speak to the players who willingly offer the replay's or the money.

    Ur 100% correct, those players normally stop playing the game and/or become spoiled and can't handle content later because they never actually learned to play the game. But they are still out there and will continue to do it.

    I think the Devs listen more than you give them credit for and I believe the diminished marks has enough rationale behind it that they will consider it. There is a precedent already in place for this which they themselves put in place.

    U and I agree, give marks to keep it relevant. We also agree that if you remove this incentive (as little as it may be) other incentives will surface in order to have higher CR players play lower content. If they don't, new players will be a thing of the past very quickly.

    DCUO is like a marathon, we are into our 10th KM of a possible 50 KMs. The further the original pack goes, the less of a chance the ones starting have to keep up or catch up. If DCUO takes away the incentive for those ahead to look back and even walk back to help the others catch up, there will be a HUGE gap that will not easily be bridged.

    I hear ya, but that’s going to be impossible for me to do. I only played one toon for the longest, so I stand to lose well over 300k in MoT.

    Lesson learned – don’t reset content; just create a growing list of alts if you enjoy playing, or spend less time in game.

    I didn't see the utility belt listed in the graph. When in the schedule does this drop?.

    also a little off topic but with the new loot system does that take into account the if rare gear drops from lower content does that effect the drop rate increase for higher content for the bad luck factor or is this factor independent for each tier so bad luck is limited on each tier not as a whole across the entire board. With the new structure I can see a general bad luck factor limit being a problem to running older raids and alerts even if the are still in the relevant CR that don't drop the better gear. an example would be player 1 on the first graph under a general bad luck factor increase really only has the light purple raid to run for the better drops and if rare drops in green or blue hurt his bad luck factor increase at drops in purple raids he would not want to run those raids or alerts until having the raid gear from the purple raid. If bad luck increase were limited to each section one for green, one for blue, and one for purple then a player can run all of the relevant content without hurting their chances at rare drops in the higher content.

    Idk if this have been answered but are there still going to be montly/weekly reward boxes with say RecoveryKits/Styles (if not gear)/ Base Items for t6 and older content? Completing older sets vendor gear styles and instance gear styles should be sped up a bit.

    I agree with this concept. However I also think that the population running lower tiered content WILL go down as a result. The perception among many players is bound to be no marks, no run even though the relative marks reward is small. Some, even many players currently running lower tiered content will cease doing so eventhough the other rewards still exist. I do agree that there should be no marks reward as per your outline but maybe some thought should be given to tweaking the process to incentivize higher tier players to run that content.

    Makes me wish there were more Tokes of Merit Feats available. But like you said, we both will probably just have to bite the bullet which is unfortunate.
