Whats Going wrong in DCUO [from a player of 4+ years]

    no,we are close and done with mid range. devs already got everything plan, i am sick on working on powers After mid range is done, Then it's Done.

    I hate that video. I hate all old HL videos. I wish they would have just dealt with Jump canceling and ended at that. Instead, they let that power ruin the entire game. Every time I look at old HL videos, I see exactly why we have the boring DPS system we have today.

    I know it was fun, but could you imagine new players coming into a raid and seeing that? How do you even learn it? Regular old clipping is all I ever want back, not that JC mess.

    I enjoy hard lvls :) tho it feels like my clan gets mad when i do well the 1st time i get there. :pWhite Cell i will get my Sp up

    The devs listened to the elitist rage quitters and created overtuned raids like NGN and HH where bosses spam one shots and an entire 140+ group can be wiped within seconds by 120 bosses/mobs.

    Now that sort of thing is fine in the elitist version because they have such mad skillz lol but there is no way a 120 boss should be able to one shot a group of 140+.

    And this is why you see things like people wanting a 146 CR 200 SP group for Demon's Plan. Because the elitists pretend to want a challenge but as soon as things don't go right, they quit.

    Here's my non-constructive addition/response-

    1. In the current state the game is in, I'm glad I "quit"
    2. I miss the old days
    3. Skill points need to matter more
    4. I miss dpsing like this. I miss dat Phase Dodge. Weapon mastery and AMs ruined the viability (and more importantly fun) of (clipping) dpsing. Sorry trollers :D

    Best content in the game is still the FOS raids where mechanics actually meant something. The early stages of the game were also the best because those were times where having a tank in an alert actually meant something and was helpful.

    im right there with you I use to be 1 of those JCing HL ppl loooooved every second of it til JCing was pretty much removed and we were force fed WM and AMs. Now guess my power?

    If ur max cr and 200 plus skill pointed there is a good chance u r invested and learned atleast the basics. If players cant manage extremely basics like block when stompa lunges or to stop attacking when a boss leaves the tank why stay? I admit its best to try and explain things and try a few times 1st but its understandable if players dont.

    120 dropping a 140. Lol how easy would u like it to be? Day one the content gets smashed IF u understand mechanics, pay attention and are decent at ur role.

    Full t4 characters in t2 could die in the alert with the lanterns. Coast city I think. Full t4 characters dropped quick as can be in fos 3 and fos 2 steam rolled full t4 players.

    It comes down to understanding machanics, being decent with ur powers and roles, and team work. If ur groups average in these three not one thing in the game is hard. NGN 1st boss is as simple as u see a move lunge. 8 players are in the group so one can manage to react. Secondly the artifact. Two spots left is where it goes. Super simple and after that its as easy as beat an ad place artifact and repeat. This is far from hard by any fashion.

    I try and help players as we have spent so much time op and some never been underpowered until end game so this is where learning occurs now. Its not cool for us who dealt with this 3 years ago but its part of the way it is so I help vs leaving or being rude.

    And the adds were unique. Not just NPC's spamming Range & Countering you.

    Why I always feel Arkham Asylum is one of the best Alerts in the game. Ice Breakers putting you in blocks and throwing you , Fear Gas, Ivy NPC's pulling you.

    If they made a T7 Version Asylum Alert; the Tears of the community at this point of the game would make a river.

    Suggestion for new subscription perk: Elite content loot locks are unlocked every time you beat the non-elite version.(Provided that the non-elite version isn't already loot locked from you beating it before.)

    The way Hard Light used to play was unsustainable and very difficult to balance the game around. Balance being one of the most frequently requested things in DCUO.

    The way Hard Light used to play, it required Speed, the narcotic, in order to perform adequately. If playing like Kaiser required a lot of effort, players would expect it to do significantly more damage. Which would make it the only choice for DPSing. Which is not this so called "balance" people keep asking for.

    So if they bring every other power up to Hard Light's clip fest level, then you end up in a situation where powers are doing as much damage as the clippy HL was, but with significantly less effort. Giving Hard Light a disadvantage and making it impossible for players who haven't dedicated as much time to mastering Hard Light as players like Kaiser to come close to keeping up. Why should players have to come close to having a stroke to do the same damage as a power which uses a couple of strokes to do the same damage? That isn't balance.

    Hell to the yes. I loved Arkham Asylum. If the devs made Arkham Asylum Elite, I'd form a group and be the first one at the gates yelling LET'S GO! SPREAD THEM CHEEKS! :p
