Doubt it, when the scoreboard pops and he isn't on top, after all the buttons he pressed...

I know people who do all that work while the guys next to them do 400% more damage just because they enjoy that way of playing more. No one likes playing with those people, but I do respect their decision to some extent. I don't agree with the decision, but I respect it.

If I had the option to be competitive at damage with the old method, you bet I'd do it even if the guy next to me wanted to play in a mindless fashion. I hate most AMs. My main was Ice until the AM stopped being competitive with WM mixed in. Spamming 4-5 powers by hitting one key/button after another is not my idea of fun.

    Presses...one button? Huh?
Weapon Mastery and Advanced Mechanics involve more than one button...

Point is, some people like using WM, some like AM, some like clipping.
Give each player the choice of how they wanna go, and make it equal.

The only reason people used clipping was to be better than playing the intended way. Not cause they actually like doing it. They like the ability to be better.

That's what the Devs don't get. That's what killed PvP more than anything else.

Games like this should never, ever, be fair. Skill, knowledge, time and dedication should determine a players position in the game. From damage output to gear and stats, they are trying to make everything equal. Worst possible idea ever. Shows a true lack of understanding how games work.

There needs to be different levels of players. The desire to play has left most of us, cause there's no longer anything to achieve. Gaming (life) 101 here guys.

Pretty much. This is why content wise, WotLp1 is my favorite. The content itself was well thought out and thought challenging. There wasn't just burn in a lot of it too. I'm not a huge fan of lantern lore, but when trilogies were the thing, it was my oasis to the other two. (Lore wise, that is.) I was severely disapointed that AF1 and HoP1 just stepped away from that concept again. I actually am pretty sure I made quite a bit of posts on the forums about it at that time.

having vendor gear is quite enough to run and be efficient at top tier but the way it stands you have to make a decision on which role you want to gear from raid drops and which role gets the vendor gear..
i feel the raid gear is more valuable on the dps role since it would be a more noticeable increase..
but my personal preference is to gear both roles.. without replays its really difficult to do this..
especially on my main toon.. i don't mind the vendor gear on an alt since i use them mainly for support roles but i have armories on them so they can dps as well..

modding more than 1 toon is quite tedious as well with the monthly content.. even tho the real crafted mods are not even worth it at this point.. its still my personal preference to use real mods..

All looks 99% the same to me man. I am playing on a 17" screen though. So, idk. But it is an issue. You just can't have all the adds, and especially the boss, so similar visually.

The way I think about it, if two people are on a level playing ground, the only factor that sets them apart is skill and know how.
They all have the same resources available to them- but it's how you use them that decides the outcome.

    That's skill, isn't it?

It takes more skill to use clipping proficiently than it does to use AM though which is his main point.

20 inch. Plus I'm pretty much blind...not actually, but very much visually impaired, even with my glasses...

    I don't know about that...
once you figure it out, it's pretty simple.

Plus, that's also a test of athleticism.
Hang eye coordination. It would leave people with certain disabilities with a definite disadvantage...
    - then again, the same goes for strategic combat...

I just don't like the feel of it myself.

Something however seems to be right. As you all may have noticed, I'm regulary re-running low level content to check for bugs etc. Currently, the starter area mission zones are full. In case of Bats, even full to lag (it's measurable, lag reduces significantly if I move my toon away from those areas and gets worse again when closing in :D). I last had lag due to too many players about 1.5 years ago.

Which brings me to the point what is wrong: IF we get such a load of players to try the game for whatever reason - shouldn't it be ensured that they can play in best quality instead of a laggy environment? And shouldn't there be taken care of noob-hostile bugs like the journal bug, the defective auto-stacking of looted soders in the equipped slot or the mail bug???

The basic game needs to shine again if we want those players to stay. #fixeverything!

there is also the factor of the fact since the addition of AMs there is always a solo troll.. in the days of clipping 2 trolls was the norm.. this would slowdown clipping when you are out of power..

i will say that a good troll could solo troll even back when 2 trolls was the norm.. but not all trolls are capable of keeping a clipping dps powered..

It's a laptop. I've tried hooking it up to my 50", but it's awkward. I sometimes forget the people on console use televisions to okay... different worlds.

external keyboard and mouse would help if you dont use a controller.. you could close the laptop so it would feel more normal

You can't say you don't know about that and say it's pretty simple when comparing it to AM's. AMs are the definition of simple dpsing in this game lol. You even say it's test of athleticism and hand eye coordination, which infers that it takes more skill. I understand some people may not be able to do it, but the fact is AM and WM would still remain and would still be viable. Nobody would or should be forced to clip to get through content, but they should if they want to put out the most damage possible.

Tried it. I'd have to construct some sort of "gaming table" or something. The coffee table doesn't cut it.

Idk if screen size makes a difference anyway. All adds in all instances are nearly identical. Even most bosses are the same size as everyone else. The least they could do is give bosses a different name color.

This is a huge thing also. One of the decisions that made controllers less viable in content was the decision to make AM the only viable way of putting out damage. Before, controllers were mad about having to be batteries all the time, but now they're barely needed at all.

I strongly disagree. In fact, 100% so. Nonetheless, you are entitled to your opinions. I just hope they don't become reality.
To begin with, I regard clipping as a mistake that was exploited.
