What will "League Halls" mean for players who don't want a 'Real' League?

thats right you don't need them, yet the large majority of the community is going though the hassle to farm exobyte or play hard for the best gear they can, same goes for sp you don't necessarly need them yet you want more no ?

with this in mind its very likely beetween not having proficiency and having them, its likely the majority is gonna do what they can to get them, beetween a big league with people not knowing eachother, or a smalls, 10-20 active members league that are playing a lot together, personaly i prefer the second one hands down. why those league should be punished for not having enough people to get those profienciency

But depending on the size of the league, the buffs may not be that difficult to obtain. In terms of stats, these buffs can make a pretty nice difference between equally skilled players, especially during content like Survival Mode. The longer the fight, the more crits will assist and come in handy! :)

I meant my league doesn't have 40-50 people within it. I honestly think the devs are counting alts when they calculated that number for being the "average" amount..

I only have 171 skill points and I'm still working on getting more, but getting all these league buffs would be a nice addition.

I consider my league small, if we manage to get proficiencies great. If not, no big deal. I won't look at it as punishment at all, there are all sorts of things in the game that I don't have, I don't call for those things to be removed because someone else managed to get them... I have yet to get a LIME COLA PLAN for example, so is everyone not suppose to have one because I don't... how selfish would I be to even ask such a thing?

But then you will see leagues go to an extreme to only run with league mates, and the ppl that pug will be at a disadvantage. which will then have them up in arms over that.

I thought they said 700 per section.

I believe the weekly cap is 100k. They said no League will be able to get a Hall the first week because of the cap, and purchasing a Hall plus the land comes to about 125k.

is leagues suppose to be large group of people not knowing eachother ? my point is not if i dont get it none should, it is to determinate
which profil of league should be able to get the optimal from their league halls, obviously for now this is not the good ones in my opinion, thats all

Well said. I have been a "lone wolf" in every mmo I have ever played.. Ill join a league now so I can experience the games full content.

You think W.o.W being the all time mmo , that you would need a guild. It was the opposite actually. They were constantly adding content to stop mega leagues and make it so smaller leagues and solo players could progress just as well with pugs.

I'm not anti social at all . I log on play a bit , then log off to spend time with people who actually care about me.

Every DLC has to have some type of reward at the end, otherwise their is no incentive to buy it. Sometimes its gear, sometimes its plans, in this case, its POSSIBLY a proficiency bonus...

DEVs wouldn't make that mistake, would they? ;) We are about the same size. Several members elect to have 5 toons in the league. I, personally have 3. What differs between my league and a large league is that my players are active and we elect run everything together. We aren't a bunch of players who don't know each other. Last night we did Khan and all the FOS runs for example, it was full league members run only (very quick runs when everyone is T5-T6 LOL) ... I'm curious how many larger leagues actually play content in this manner. Do they have only a handful of people on, do they even communicate or do content togeter? Is older, stale content played or only the top end stuff? We try and do it all. And all we do we do together. I think this, in the end will make up for the size difference.

You got me beat by 3 I think... .

The thing is, this is a free update, not a DLC. ;)

We have yet to see how much effort smaller leagues will have to put in versus bigger leagues, so it's hard to jump to conclusions and even assumptions.

My main overall point is that I don't like the idea behind it at all, but we'll manage.

    No more, no less. :)

The smart thing would be to let all leagues get them on day one we know there's going to be bugs when it hits live wouldn't it make more sense to let players get in league halls and play around instead of it being on the live sever for a few weeks before we find out what is messed up.

I agree 40-50 is too high if counting unique logins and not alts. That would be about 6 raid groups. In my league's prime during T5 the most we ever had simultaneously going was 3 raid groups and some stragglers. We were considered a large league at that time.

I think the median should be set at just above 8 active players as that is the raid group size and the average league will have at least one static raid group. A large league would have about 3 raid groups and stragglers (24+) from what I have seen in my league and our sister leagues.

I will admit that I feel there may be some excessively large leagues with lenient recruiting practices tipping the scales in an inaccurate direction.

It will be up on the test server. And I for one will be testing the living Hell out of it. :)

In our hay day we'd be lucky to get two raid groups going. :)

The conundrum we face is we are an adult league that uses TeamSpeak and operates on weekday evenings after work EST. Weekends we spend with our kids and families so they are inactive. So are we to invite "fluff" players who could potentially hurt our league's image for the sake of keeping up or do we continue on only recruiting mature, like-minded players? In the past when we had younger or non-working people they would get frustrated and throw tantrums that most of us had jobs/families and don't game as much. That's unnecessary stress and in my opinion no stat boost is worth that! Though I do not feel the stat boosts are absolutely necessary as my league will find success due to our skill level and synergy regardless.

Anyone a member of a huge league that actually does stuff together with league mates that can comment?

    No?

    I didn't think so...:D

I am setting up my league so that lone wolves can maintain their way of gaming but still benefit from being in a league. Check my sig.

I would rather have a pug in our league runs than fluff.

I also would rather pug myself than have fluff.

Our league may look into recruiting more because of this update. but we won't compromise our principles doing so. :)

Yeah...I hope that number increases before it goes live. Some of my league mates and I were watching and we all said at once, "700? that's it? but then only one of us will get to decorate." :p

What do want us to comment on?
This is a great...no...fantastic update. And yes there are large leagues that actually run stuff together...JG is one of them. Every day, every night you will find us running raids, alerts, helping lower level members with feats...etc. And not just in DCUO, but in other games as well. On July 7th, Justice Girls will celebrate 9 years as a league/super group/guild/clan. You don't last that long across multiple games by being selfish, unfriendly or a toxic member of the community. I think we deserve a little something for maintaining our league mission statement of keeping the game fun and bringing that JG style to our fellow gamers for 9 years running.

It was 700 total with a different cap per section. if it was 700 per section then the ps3 players would have issues.

Also, purely speculation here, but i would think it is 100k flat for the hall, and then you only pay the additional 25k if you want to move your hall. again this is a guess, but since they said it is 100k for the base, it would seem odd to have to pay an additional 25k to place your base.
