What will "League Halls" mean for players who don't want a 'Real' League?

ppl keep adding all the boosts together saying it is a 40% boost, since ya know, that extra dmg and crit healing magnitude will help my tank oh so much.....

I said in an earlier post, make all the boosts 50%, then they will have something to complain about....

As a rage or fire tank, it actually is probably helpful. Your point is still valid and well taken, though.

It's giving extra insintive to join a league, of course you wont get it without a real league. This community never stops amazing me LOL.

I have to agree. As a soloist who has played DCUO solo and made it to CR106, I have absolutely NO PROBLEMS with what I know of League Halls and I certainly don't see it as a threat to my future as a soloist. In fact, I may take some other previous suggestions and form a 'solo league' where soloists can come together and have their solo play count for something and then we all vote each month as to how to spend the Prestige points. In doing so, we may also run duos, alerts, or maybe even... cringe, a raid. Imagine that... a group of soloists running a raid for the first time. Seriously though, it could be fun all around. The devs have done an awesome job in my book with this game and their inclusionary game development.

Boy, you are really inserting a lot of context between the lines that isn't there. People will refer to other people, and their comments, indirectly all the time, in forums and in real life. It's not rude to do so, unless you say something rude, which I do not believe I did.

Anyway, time to cool this off until the stream I think. Take care, we do care about concerns everyone voices, but in the end we must choose a direction to take.

As nice as it is to see a Dev respond to a thread & actually carry a discussion w/ the community about changes/additions, IMO its prob better to wait til at least every1 is caught up w/ the webcast info before continuing. W/o data its just speculation & emotion.

On another note, its nice to see long awaited additions finally coming to fruition. I'm looking forward to League Halls & its features. However I'm neither a soloist or a player in a dysfunctional league, so its really just icing on the cake. I think its great that they are encouraging social connectivity & benefits to teamwork.

Can't wait to see the stream! I would like to reiterate that League Halls in their current form do have a lot of support from what I see in my own league and our sister leagues.

I do have one suggestion though I'd like you to consider for small leagues. Would it be possible to make leagues able to partner with each other to earn bonus Prestige? This may help us pick up more bonuses without uprooting our current organizational structure. Either way the bonuses are not a game breaker in my opinion as they are not too high. It's just a thought to counter some of this small league backlash.

Yea, its nice to see developers respond all thread, but I confess that this time I feel sorry for them, even I filled the bag of them oftentimes with requests and other things.
But now they wasted their time creating something so cool (and FREE, GOD THANK YOU SO MUCH), that will change the game and improve everything involving leagues, and then appear guys to fill the bag, for a "problem" you can easily solving entering for any league and being quiet in your corner.

Really ... I hope they see that the majority are in favor of this, and these bothered guys are the minority.

    Sorry Spytle -
I can't quote you right now. I got the 40% from the numbers that have been posted by others multiple times in this thread. Yes - those percentages are broken among multiple roles (dps wouldn't obviously get the bonus% for healing out), but it is still a total of at least 40% in buffs. Unless the numbers that have been flying around are inaccurate.

Personally I have always found it odd when people avoid being a part of a good league. Playing a mmo has always been favorable to those that for or join a guild. If you choose to avoid human interaction in a guild im sure it translates to real life

Dcuo has made it very easy to play this game as a lone wolf. Now leagues are finally getting upgrades so loners gripe about this? I find it totally self-serving to complain about something you want no part of. I always hear the reasons for not being in a league. They all boil down to the idea that no one else is needed to play the game with. Well I for one hope more emphasis is put on playing with leagues

    Azrael -
Just because you feel that people against stat boosts for leagues are in the "minority", doesn't make it so. I think league halls are a great idea, I just have issue with one small aspect of the addition of league halls. We don't all have to agree, that's what the forum is for, so that devs can get feedback from multiple players with multiple viewpoints.

Heh, I once joined a league to avoid random league invites and I liked the League name. Put everyone on ignore in the League. Got kicked a week later.

This is a perfect example of the personal attacks that I mentioned earlier from LowFlyingMoon. Personal attacks are a "no...no" as far as I know (or at least they should be).

Since this is the overall theme of the OP and an important thing to address, judging by the length of the discussion and the largely productive posts within, Spytle, would you be so kind as to address this one question in brief detail in the livestream tonight, thx.

Individually the stat boosts are equivalent to 1-2 SP based on role. You want the whole thing adjusted for solo players when majority of the game is in a league? The devs are right to ignore you league-less people because you have no legitimate reason to not make your own league or join one. I was league-less for a year and proximity chat started dying out so about a month ago I made my own. Its easy i'll walk you through it... League management...Create league
