    I don't know if I agree...

Have you seen how easy it is to get to CR140+ now-a-days? Absolutely effortless even if you're championing all your content. If you're being carried by high CR players, then it takes even less effort.

My T7 Tank Alt has beaten 1 raid authentically since I made him. 1. Bombshells Paradox and the group was grossly overpowered for it (but I count it because it's still in the relevancy window). Other than that, I was carried through Prime Battleground and GOT by 2 friends and all my other gear was earned as drops in Duos and Alerts. Most of which featured high CR players and didn't require my tanking whatsoever.

So I can definitely see clueless players getting to the end game. I personally don't blame them. How can you get better if you're consistently being carried by high players, whether you want to be or not? You have no measuring stick or any way of seeing how you're performing and look at ways of getting better. The sad thing is, the game allows it, by allowing 5-1-1-1 raid groups in end game content. and 4-0-0-0, 3-1-0-0 or 2-1-1-0 formations in alerts. Plenty of opportunities to coast to and through the end game.

This is just another problem that replay badges and depending on them to generate revenue has caused. They need everyone to get to the end game as quickly as possible, to join the rat race and bring in the revenue because there's nothing much to buy otherwise (granted, they are starting to add more).

    Some powers don't even need 1 2 3 4..

Nature earth, sorc, elec benefit strongly from Full auto or weapon combos.

I ran duos with an electric user whom was dps, he didn't even bother to try setting up his dots to help with the burn.
Nope he just spammed Full auto through the entire run.

I'm not saying you gotta play everybodys way, but having something like damage over time or even pets out with weapons, can help out more than you think.

Yes, getting a new character to the top is fairly easy. Still takes a good chunk of time though.

But that's for people that know what they are doing already. An actual new player is going no where fast without help. If they get help, they are also learning from experienced players.

No one is getting to end game without knowing what to do. At thus point, it's just not possible. There's simply too much content to get through, carried or not.

People on these forums like to puff out their chests and call others stupid. But it's all wayyy over exaggerated. The players out there at end game just are not as bad as the kids around here like to make them seem.

you wouldn't believe how many horrible players I still see in the T7 duos. In the duos, if no one is overgeared, lack of skill becomes more evident than in alerts & raids. The first time I played Flash Museum with one of my toons, she was still below 120. The other guy was 130somewhat. It took a couple of tries, but we got to the 2nd boss. On the other hand, along these days I landed with so many CR140somewhat players and we couldn't even get past the 1st boss, although there were all sorts of powers among those bad 140s. With one 140+ quantum (!) dps, we didn't even get past the 2nd set of adds...(how is that even possible with quantum's AM?) One time I had a cr143 rage dps basically solo the hell out of that solo duo extremely fast (must have been somewhat around 5 minutes, I guess?). So yes, skill level still has an extreme range even at T7.

I've been in 5-1-1-1 raids where the bottom DPS beat me as a Healer by 200K, which is pathetic. People wanted 2-1-1 in TD because there were too many DPS that lacked burn, even after the health nerf. I've smoked higher CR players with great AMs with my Nature character, because all they did was use a power then spam Full Auto. Seriously, what Mental or Quantum DPS uses Full Auto when his/her AM is a 1000% better? We need to stop carrying people through content, because people need to learn how to do their role to be effective.

There are Healers that have 145 CR and 173 SP that suck too. I ran with one ( Sorcery) yesterday BD Elite and I was well over 3 times his healing out, which is ridiculous, especially when Sorcery normally beats me. Seriously, what is going on here? The Devs took out Walk-ins for low levels but skyrocketed their ability to get CR, it really makes no sense. There needs to be another gate, aside from CR because it's too easy to get to T7 and there are a lot of people that shouldn't be there that are.

This is a dilemma. On the one hand, I agree (and I do have ideas, like "reach average DPS of x per second over a period of 5 minutes in your current tier in order to queue up for [this tier] as a DPS", and it could be done for healers alike, for trolls something like "put out x power in any T[previous] to continue to T[next], but for tanks it's a bit more difficult unless it's power specific), but, and that is a BIG BUT: queues would take forever to pop and premade groups would be infiltrated by ppl who -technically- are unable to play the instance (or unable to play in the role they claimed to be) because they have not yet met the requirement, and if this happens 2-4 times, groups disband because ppl get tired of wasting their time...in summary: it would be harder to get a group together and i guess this is a factor which would reduce the number of players & days that dcuo has left faster.

on a rare occasion I do play my celestial toon, I'm guilty of that. To be honest, I'm not good with it, usually have issues remembering and pulling off combos.

Sometimes it's fun to use WM. I like it just like the AM and will always use my weapon.

so, some of you are saying you would stay in the flash duo with a CR145 DPS that ONLY use his weapon. your on a healer. your going to stay in there for ...what30min...longer...I DONT THINK SO!!!!! don't care if some one is low CR. ill stay in there with them and do what I can to help. but a high CR that wont use there powers and take WAYYYYY to long to burn...nope. as for my 231 (at this point) I worked for them. I learned the game. I know what I'm doing. and...I have and will help others. BUT. I will not run stuff with idiots!!! so, you can say I want to be carried if you like. you are a fool and a reason this game sucks more and more all the time. and you are why so many ppl are not playing anymore.

I think yes. I don't mind. When I play at my day offs, I can stay 30 minutes in a duo and I did. When it is challenging it is fun believe or not.

They're probably people that skimmed the CR ladder just by collecting drops. They probably have no mods in those gear drops and probably have worked very little on their SP.
So you have 145 CRs with a mix mash of gear drops with no mods and probably like 70SP.
    Sounds typical.

ya, mods.. thats a problem now since there is no reason to add them in an attempt to raise cr. so people are just pushing through to the next cr. im still of the old mind set, its only 5marks i go ahead and add them so as to be a good duo partner. so now aside from the lack of social interaction and chat in these pug groups. everyone is under geared compared to the good old days. i almost always assume the healer role role mostly because thats how my gear has worked out via my focus on that role. im actually out dpsing dps roles at my same cr tier in these duos as of late.

developers! your really making the wrong decision by removing the cr effect from mods. ALSO!! give us our daily quests back! what the HECK! is it you expect us to do!? ill tell you what i do. i go play another mmo because you have now made this game for someone with the attention span of a gnat! so i go to another game i dont like as much giving THEM my money(i spend alot, its whati do. it my money dont judge) so refix these issues please! :) and while your at it the game needs about 3000 more quests in general. i used to do that kind of work. its not that hard. get the permission and make it happen. love you guys .. love this game.. loving watching the game grow up. and hey!! ty for the lil bot pet! thats the kind of stuff that builds loyal payers :) <cheers>

Oh shut up. Intelligent DPS/Tanks don't waste their entire power bar on mobs, they save it for boss fights. The time taken in killing adds is made up for by damaging/tanking the boss.

And thanks for showing the elitist hypocrisy of wanting a challenge while wanting it finished ASAP.

Sometimes a high cr does little because they do not want to overwhelm all the enemies while you get to do nothing because everything is beaten instantly.
